Snoop wants his Xbox and he wants it now!

The New York Post is reporting that Snoop Dogg, during a UNICEF benefit concert, almost didn't make it on stage due to an Xbox. As part of Snoop Dogg's long list of demands for his appearance, he required that there be an Xbox in his dressing room. But when no Xbox was to be found, Snoop nearly canceled his concert. That is until a parent lent the rapper their kid's Xbox so he could get his game on with his massive entourage. In the end Snoop was only an hour or so late (gaming way too hard), but did give his performance. Is our pot smoking "friend" Snoop Dogg a diva in disguise or is it perfectly justifiable for a gamer to demand an Xbox? We can definitely understand the necessity of it, but then again we aren't getting paid $150,000 to show up somewhere.

6. Mike pwned Dustin.

I'd make the change myself, but I'm not in an editorial position and would break the chain of command.

True this is stupid, but is it any worse than Van Halen requiring a bowl of m&ms, with all of the brown ones removed to be available in the band's dressing room.
Artist usually put stupid things in their contracts to make sure that the venue management is actually reading through the contract. Though this may not be the case this time, idk.

8. all celebs are like this.
they all have their "demand list" filled with perks.
For them to pay someone like him, an xbox/360 is just a drop in the bucket, and probably something an intern forgot(they usually get the fun job of supplying all those demands).

Not performing because of it is a bit gay and diva like, but i wouldn't say this is some sort of crazy unexpected thing coming from a celeb.

9. A parent had to donate an xbox temporarily? This is rediculose. Shows much about snoops character. I cen't beleive he accepted that donation to. I would of turned it down and remained angry at the guy who messed up and forgot my xbox. For no reason should he even of considered canceling. These celebrities don't realize their concerts are not just about money, their about the fans too. If for some reason they said "oops we cant pay you this time snoop", he would have all the right to get angry, but dont cancle the concert which the fans have currently gethered for. Just do your concert for free and refuse to do any future ones untill payment is upfront.

10. they have to fullfill their end of the contract, as much as he has to fullfill his, they knew wayyyyyyyyy in advance that the xbox was part of their obligations.....

11. I saw him at Lollapalooza back in the late 90s. Worst performance ever. People didn't cheer enough after a song so he did it twice. Needless to say, Tool was a much better aural and visual presentation.

12. This is absolutely unbelievable. This is why I hate these rappers. At least it was an Xbox and not a PlayStation or Nintendo. I say that nobody complies to his demands and nobody pays him money. He deserves to live in hell.

15. I'd normally say this is ridiculous, but now that I think about it, he is the creator, commissioner, and participant in the HHGL (Hip Hop Gaming League). He has rappers from all over the country participating in serious gaming competition. The league is complete with stat tracking and the whole nine. Snoop is a serious gamer. They have a website as well.

So who knows...he might have had a scheduled game or something.

16. Is everyone missing the irony here?? "The United Nations Children's Fund - UNICEF - works for children's rights, their survival, development and protection..."

Snoop is at a BENEFIT concert and refuses to go on becuase he doesn't have an XBox. A BENEFIT concert. I can see if he was at a concert tour stop and they didn't have everything he needed but this is for charity. Meanwhile, and here's the ironic part, he's promoting a children's charity but only goes on stage after taking a child's XBox. Pitiful...

17. yeah this is actually true. I have a friend who works for venues in Boise, Idaho. When snoop came here he requested an xbox and at the end of the show my friend got to take it home with all snoops game. Which included: True Crime and one more. Really if you dont have faith in this report then i suggest you call me or email me

18. Celeb riders are one of the most offensive things ever. Makes them all seem like a bunch of spoiled little babies.

The riders are, however, often hilarious...as evidenced here: http://www.thesmokinggun.com/backstagetour/index.html
