Forza 2 demo will feature 24 different cars

We knew a Forza 2 demo was coming to the Marketplace in April, but have been left in the dark to what exactly will be included. In Friday's Pit Pass the Turn 10 team revealed that the April demo is being developed alongside the actual game and will include 24 different cars from various car classes. What will be missing is any sort of online multiplayer or customization, features you'll only get with a $60 purchase. The Pit Pass also hints at in-game video footage that will be making its way through the inter-tubes sometime this week from two different media sources. And, for all you crazy car audio fans out there, you'll be pleased to know that Forza 2's dev team has gone above and beyond. Seriously, listen to this stuff from the game. It's like heaven, but in audio form.

With Forza 2's release creeping closer and closer be prepared for one crazy media blowout. Grab your steering wheels with an iron grip, because it's going to get exciting.

[Thanks, THA1icarus]

1. If Microsoft/Logitech would add support for my Logitech G25 steering wheel on the xbox 360 (http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/products/details/GB/EN,CRID=2217,CONTENTID=11867), then this game might actually compete with racing sims I play on the PC (mostly Live For Speed)

I don;t know about Gamefly, but all the Blockbuster Crackdowns I've seen have it.

Since Gamefly presumeably got first shipment copies, I'd assume you could.

10. "Does anyone know if the demo will support the MS wheel?"

Yes, I read it on forzamotorsport.net, the dev made sure to include how the demo will feature full support for the Microsoft wireless racing wheel.

11. Man that Porsche sounds SICK!! The audio doesn't sound like some generic progression through the RPM's, but now sounds like my speakers are bleeding.. Awesome, I can't wait!!

12. I have to admit the engine sounds are pretty good, but something about the gearing up just sounds wrong.

13. OFF TOPIC AGAIN

If I were to send my 360 to get fixed or get a new one does anyone know how long it takes cuz I got my on it release day and I have had some minor problemsbut some scared me recently today I got the red ring of death twice but I turned it off and it worked once changing discs and the disc drive didn't go back in and again today when I turned my 360 on by accident, and I have gotten along time ago but it still worked. Also, when in market place it shows some pictures on it but not on fearured downloads theres no picture and a couple other areas Iguess I can live with out the advertizing but would like to get it fixed. Also do they wipe out your hard drive or give you a new one. I don't want to get it fixed cuz the beta is coming out and new halo 2 maps and forza 2. just wanted to know if it is less than a month

14. I've had my one sent away for repairs without any problems before, although my one broke well within a year of me buying it, so it was still in warranty, not sure about your one. Anyway, they ask you to send it away without any peripherals (including the hard drive) so there's no chance of having it wiped.
Well, I have had one problem since I got it back - Games that I downloaded from the arcade no longer work across all of my Live accounts, only on the one I bought it with originally (any help with this would be much appreciated!)

16. "I have to admit the engine sounds are pretty good, but something about the gearing up just sounds wrong."

If this is sequential or the TipTronic shifter from Porsche installed on the GT3, then the shifting sounds perfect.

As for the sound of the engine...like someone else said before...WOW...i think i just had an eargasm.

I'm lucky i'll be done exams next thursday and my woman will be in hong kong for the last 3 weeks of may and the first week of june as it'll allow me to get some serious game on...keep up with the shadowrun beta, the forza 2 demo, the halo 3 beta, and then forza 2 retail...which i will not put down my controller until i have completed everything i want in the game.

17. "4. dooes anyone know if i rent crackdown from gamefly can i use it for the HALO 3 BETA.

Yes and no. Yes if the game is one of the proper launch ones with the Halo 3 symbol on the front. No because you can only access the Halo 3 beta from Crackdown's main menu, so once your rental ends and you take it back you won't be able to play it anymore.

18. @ Jason

Microsoft's new policy is 5 days. It will be returned to you in 5 buisness days. Go check it out on xbox.com.

Check it out:
http://www.xbox.com/en-US/support/systemsetup/xbox360/resources/warrantyupdate.htm

On another note, can't wait for this demo.

19. "If this is sequential or the TipTronic shifter from Porsche installed on the GT3, then the shifting sounds perfect." - Fair enough, I honestly wouldn't know, it just didn't sound quite right to me is all. I don't claim to know a lot about cars, but I do like my racing games :)
Anyways, looking forward to this game, although I still maintain my view that I'll be back to playing racing sims on the PC after a few weeks of playing this. The G25 wheel is just THAT much better than the wireless 360 one.

20. @ 12 I think I get what you mean about the gear shifting. It may just be because the clip is of a Porsche GT3, but it just sounds too "smooth" if ya get me. Like you hear no RPM changes it just sorta slides into gear (still sounds sick though) Still buying the game though.

Can't Wait!
