Matt over at IGN got his hands on a new Too Human demo up in Canada the other day and came away feeling pretty good. If you remember, Too Human was shown at E3 last year and was ripped apart due to its lack of solid gameplay, loose camera, and sub-par graphics. Matt just wanted to let everyone know that Silicon Knights wasn't happy with last year's showing and reworked a lot of the problems and are coming out with something they are proud of. Overall things are looking on the up and up for Too Human as Matt goes on to say that "the game has inevitably evolved, and it's on the level you'd expect from the maker of Eternal Darkness". Also, be sure to head on over to IGN next month when they'll be releasing a bunch of exclusive Too Human content and coverage. What do you think ... will it be good or will it be great?
[Thanks, Matthew M.]

There's a group on the Internet (who seem to be totally contained within neoGAF) that would take his quote as bad thing. Personally, I don't. I liked ED and their plans for this seem infinitely more interesting.
I'm surprised they demoed the game for Matt considering Dyack has been complaining about the whole "preview" process since they showed the game last. I guess he was just comfortable enough with where it is now.

I've got high hopes. And yes, it might seem funny that Denis is previewing this after all the hullabaloo, but I just take this as a sign that the game development is in its final stage.

I hope it's great. I'm not sure if this is a good comparison but MS needs a God of War like title in its corner.

"MS needs a God of War like title in its corner." - I agree, a good platformer/brawler with a solid storyline would be excellent.
Looking forward to Too Human, and considering the remarks made about it at E3 it's no surprise it's gotten better. It's had more development/test time which can only be a good thing, and hopefully it'll stop Dyack from whining so much.

Ninja Gaiden is inifinitely better than God of War, and it's the same style of game in the end (minus the gratuitous gore). Sure, the PS3 gets Sigma...but we've pretty much already played it. Twice. I'm still buying it though ;).
I'm guessing that Too Human will be more like Heavenly Sword overall. Guess I'll find out when I get them.

I think this game will actually end up pretty good. And the funny reason I think that is because of what happened at E3.
They got their work ripped apart and critiqued on every level...and so they went back to work to avoid all the pitfalls they had already fallen into. So, Dyack should be thanking us!
...Okay maybe I went a little too far there.

Not to detract from the quality of the game (which looks a great deal better than the E3 build Dyack defends and blames at the same time), but spending a couple of weeks jumping from podcast to podcast saying how backwards the industry is for having to deal with previews -- he turns around and shows IGN a preview of the game?
He was annoying and mildly amusing from his half-attempts of debate vs. EGM, but doing this just negates all his arguments.
Not to mention unbelievably hypocritical.

I felt the same way, but who is to really say the difference between now and E3. There's kind of a difference here in a lot of ways. At E3 the game was ridiculously early for one, but it's not dealt with on Silicon Knights' own terms whatsoever. In this senario, they invited who they pleased and had full control over what was done and shown off.
Dyack wasn't really arguing for "no previews!!!" as much as I feel he was arguing for a different way of presenting them beyond tossing together demos for E3 and other shows.
So I suppose it's different in that regard, but it still comes off kind of strange lol.
