Devil May Cry 4 trailer: slammin beat!
GameTrailers has posted a new, albeit very brief, trailer of Devil May Cry 4. It's basically just a mishmash of gameplay segments. One thing we have to point out is the game's combo system. Like many games, Devil May Cry 4 appears to employ a combat multiplier. The one shown in the video showcases different grades: D, C, B, A, and S. Under normal circumstances this wouldn't really even be worth mentioning, but each grade has a little phrase to go with it. Unfortunately, it looks like Capcom decided to pull these phrases off of a '90s era high school trapper keeper. Behold the horrifying list:
D -- "Do it!"
C -- "Come on!"
B -- "Big up!"
A -- "All that!"
S -- "Slammin beat!"
Call us critical, but these phrases seem to clash just a little with rapid fire demon slaying. At least the game looks fun, right?

1. I hope DMC 4 isnt as hard as 3....
I hope its at least as hard as 3 if not harder. I don't like these cakewalk games I want a challenge.
Its what made 3 as great as it was.

"Unfortunately, it looks like Capcom decided to pull these phrases off of a '90s era high school trapper keeper."
"It looks like Capcom has managed to make Devil May Cry's fourth installment even more boss than the third, which must have been difficult, because DMC3 was the boss of applesauce."
As a series, Devil May Cry has run the gamut from motorcycle fights (that is, the use of a motorcycle as a totally radical bludgeon) to slow motion midair pizza eating. Most games aim to be as awesome as a ninja or a pirate, or even Chuck Norris. DMC aims higher. DMC aims for Arthur Fonzarelli. Witness the mighty punch Dante delivers to the jukebox. Internet take note: that is what awesome looks like.

It's comments like that that make me wish our star system still worked. That comment is worthy of a star my friend.

Yeah I got Devil May Cry 3 to play on my PS3 but I hate the PlayStation controller.
I'm so glad this is coming out on the box.
