This week the employees at Bungie have been battling the dreaded space germs virus, but fear not fanboys because nothing can stop the development of Halo 3. In this week's Bungie Weekly Update Frankie reveals that they've been recording dialog for the game including the voice of Cortana, Jen Taylor. This time around Jen is getting the chance to flex her acting muscles, because Cortana is a little darker and more dramatic in Halo 3. Everyone at Bungie nearly wept during Jen's recording session ... oh how we love you Cortana.
Bungie is also polishing weapon animations and revealed that they are implementing the "A-hole button". And what is this A-hole button we speak of? Well, you know those annoying Xbox Live members who refuse to be quiet or say something constructive, right? Well, for Halo 3 Bungie is implementing an easier and quicker way to mute unruly Live members, something we're welcoming with open arms. Frankie also talks about a new Halo 2 playlist, new tshirts, and a new Halo audiobook ... just make the jump and get learned.

It would have been great if the voice was done by a man in drag, that would have confused the Halo fanboys.

All games should have the "A-hole button", but why did Bungie feel they needed this? Maybe because Halo 2 brought the worst out of people more then any game I know of on Xbox live.
Being able to communicate with the other team as you're about to take them out or visa versa is where the "A-hole" starts. Someone takes someone out, they talk trash or T-bags you, then you retaliate and do the same but worst back and this is how Halo 2 begin and is still played today.
So I say they need to just cut the voice between the two teams (as in GOW) and rethink if they really need an "A-hole button" after all.
Anyone else agree?

There have been people on my own team on Halo 2 that I've wished I could use the A-hole button on. Not trash talking or anything, just stupid crap or annoying music that makes me with they would shut up.
I think it should definitely be an option to have anyone get muted.

Mhm... I just how proximity voice is still in. Nothing better than going "I CHALLENGE YOU TO A DUEL!" right before swording someone...

yeah i hope this is implimented well. as for the whole team talk debate, that's a tricky issue. i personally love being able to talk to my (living) teammates at all times without revealing stratagem. however, i love being able to talk shit (when necessary, mind you) in halo 2. so, i think it would be harder than hell to come up with a happy medium. hopefully someone can figure one out.

I prefer yelling "HEY COULD YOU HOLD ON TO THIS FOR ME?" after sticky nading someone. Makes me laugh every time.
