In our continuing effort to bring you fresh and interesting content, X3F presents Would You Rather ... a weekly feature that asks you the hard questions. The point? If you had to choose one or the other, which would you go for?
This week in Would You Rather we're taking a look back at Microsoft Game Studios' 2008 Yearbook and wishing for a miracle. For a miracle to come. While the lineup looks rad, we're upset at the lack of info (or date!) for Alan Wake and Peter Jackson's mysterious Halo project.
So we got to thinking, if you had to pick one of them to hit store shelves this year which would you choose? The brand new IP from Remedy, Alan Wake or the "revolutionary" Peter Jackson Halo game?

Feel free to share the reasons for your vote in the comments. We'll share the results of the poll during the next edition of Would You Rather ... which hits X3F every Wednesday.
Last weeks WUR results can be find after the jump ... come in and check it out for free!

While voters decided they want the evolution of downloadable games to continue on the Xbox platform, they do not want to pay for it. An overwhelming majority said they relish bigger gaming experience from the Live Arcade but are afraid the evolution in design could lead to a increase in purchase price. Then, we'd have a revolution in our hands!

For me there is no choice... no choice at all...
The living hobbit brought us the Lord of the Rings trilogy and did a damn good job on the big gorilla... So i have to trust that he would do my favorite game trilogy some good.
Peter get to fucking work on the goddamn haloz
p-p-p-p-p-p-p-please.
Alan Wake? who cares...

Lots of us care about Alan Awake. I'll take a remedy-developed original title over a Peter Jackson helmed Halo title at this point... I mean Halo's a known quantity, but Peter Jackson?
Don't get me wrong, I've been a huge fan of his since his grade-b horror days; but all his film experience qualifies him for are cut-scenes. I hope for the best, but honestly I don't believe someone who's focused their career of over two decades entirely on passive entertainment would be the best man for the job when it comes to interactive entertainment.
Hopefully I'll have to eat crow; but at this point Jackson's too much of an unknown quantity for me to want to see his game before a new game from a studio whose games I know for a fact I find very enjoyable.

I care. A lot. We don't even know what genre this Halo game will be, let alone gameplay details or concept art. I don't understand how people can get excited by what is existially an untitled announcement of a game. Aside from the upcoming Alone in the Dark, there's not much in the way of Horror Survival game on the 360, and Alan Wake looks like it'll have a really good story to accompany all the thrills.

Unfortunately I know nothing about Alan wake and the same can be said for whatever Peter Jackson is working on. So hard vote. I'll go with the Halo project since i like the Haloverse.

I have to go with Alan Wake. I like the Halo Universe and I like Peter Jackson but what if it is "Master Chief Horseback Riding" or some sort of Halo themed Kart racing game? I am sure that Peter Jackson will do something great with the Halo franchise, but I need me some survival horror!!

Only a moron would choose the peter jackson title. When they both are released, alan wake may suck, and the halo game be the greatest thing ever, but currently, your asking which would you rather have, a survival horro game that looks alright, or a game which does not exsist. For all we know, peter jacksons halo game is an exlectronic halo barbie dress up doll game. You really cant choose something that does not exsist.

Alan Wake hands down.
I am a fan of the Halo games but I would like to see something new come down the pipeline.
I don't know if Alan Wake is a completely new IP but it is new to me. Nothing PJ does is going to make the Halo-verse new.

Alan Wake hands down over here too. Don't get me wrong, I love the Haloverse and I love PJ's work but the little info that we have on Alan Wake made it look like it's borrowing more than a few elements from Half-Life 2 and HL2>>>>>Halo.
