An entry for a 360 version of Super Ghouls N' Ghosts recently popped up on the ESRB website, leading many to believe that Capcom's classic will soon be appearing on Xbox Live Arcade. Beloved by old school gamers for its charm and tough-as-nails difficulty, Super Ghouls N' Ghosts would certainly be a welcome entry to the Arcade. Unfortunately, that's all we have to go on right now, as no announcements have yet been made. As such, chalk this up as a rumor for now. Still, once a game shows up at the ESRB, it's a fair bet that it's coming (let's hope it arrives with a save function).
Anyone else looking forward to the game so nice you have to beat it twice?

Hope not, the entire point of the game is to be hard to beat

The point of a game is to be fun, not be an exercise in frustration. Save function dammit.

Whoa. That's a MAJOR XBLA title. People were crowing about it being on other similar services and not XBLA.

Thought I'd chime in. I want a save function because I rarely have three hours to devote to a single game. It's not difficulty, it's time.

If they just port the PSP's version, it'd rock pretty nicely. It didn't so much have a save option, as a way to start each section over again if you screw up. And the graphics shouldn't be too hard to make into HD.

It'll be a port of the GBA version of 2002.

I hate when games have to be watered down from the original form. No save function dammit. To please both audiences they could give you the option but have an achievement that you can only get if you don't save.

Ghouls N' Ghosts was one of the first Sega Genesis games I bought, and it was cool on the SNES, too! I loved the Arcade version the most, and I am sure that is what the Xbox Live Arcade version will be based on!
The thought of playing this game with high-definition graphics and 5.1 sound is COOOOL!!
