Update: Okay, we admit it, projectors are not out bag, baby. The projector will support hi-def pictures up to 1280x1024.
Technology vendors, Newegg.com, are offering up an interesting deal for 360 shoppers. If you pick up the BenQ W100 DLP projector, you'll get an Xbox 360 Core system for free (scroll down to the "combo deals" section). Of course, the projector costs $799, so it still isn't cheap.
As always, if you find some great (or weird) deals on Xbox 360, send us a tip and we'll post it.
[Thanks, Hayden Fox]

Well that's a pretty good deal, although it's a shame it's not hi-def. And I've not heard anything bad about BenQ - www.tomshardware.com used to give their LCD monitors pretty good reviews too.

FYI, BenQ is a part of Acer, or rather BenQ is a couple of Acer's former divisions spun off into a separate entity, though still held by Acer's parent company PAG. So... even if you're not familiar with BenQ, hopefully you are with Acer. They're a pretty old-school electronics manufacturer who've (in my experience at least) always made decently solid hardware. That being said, the resolution on that thing's way too low for proper HD gaming...

Just because the resolution's not native HD doesn't mean it doesn't take HD signals. I have a 800x600 Infocus x1 and it looks great with a 360. Takes both 720p and 1080i signals.

why you would want a 480p projector is beyond me. if you think standard def signals look bad on your 50" TV, just wait til you blow them up to the size of your whole wall...

Not a good deal. You can get the projector by itself for $599 at Amazon.com. Not worth the hassle for saving $100 on a Core.

Don't buy this projector...it's native resolution is 480p, even though it will accept 720p/1080i. What's the point of a 480p projector if you are buying it for a 360?

So if I'n understanding this correctly, it will accept a 720p signal from my 360 but the projector will downscale the picture to 480p?
