Xboxyde got a handful of screenshots for the upcoming next gen Turok. The game is running on Unreal Engine 3 (then again, what isn't?) and looks awfully nice. The game pits players against humans, dinosaurs, and -- if previous iterations are anything to go by -- robot dinosaurs. The game supposedly mixes up GOW style cover and some intense melee combat as well. The game isn't coming out until 2007, so I guess we'll just have to wait and see.
Anyone willing to place their confidence in this ailing franchise?

Not really. The last turok was such a turd that I have a hard time seeing the point of a reboot on the franchise. That said I wish them the best and hope they totally prove me wrong.

Place my confidence in the Turok franchise? Hell no. However, I'll be willing to at least play a demo/rental of this game, the screenshots I've seen (and the fact that it's a different developer) have my curiosity piqued...

This looks amazing. The last Turok I played was for the N64. I'm really starting to think that games with impressive visuals can really pull in quite the crowd of buyers.

Dinosaurs? Check. Guns? Check. Explosions? Check. Based on those three things theyve got me on the hook for at least a rental. I dont know if any of you know this, but dinosaurs are awesome. Since they are awesome, killing them is also awesome.
I know dinosaurs in a video game isnt a really super original idea, but Im just happy to have a shooter that isnt Zombies, Nazis or Aliens. I love killing Zombies, Nazis and Aliens, but its nice to kill something else every once in awhile.
