2. NO!!!!!!!!!!!! Why can't they just put sonic in a game by himself. I don't want to play with shadow, sunshine, or sleepy sonic. All I want to see in the next sonic game is SONIC!!!!!!!!!!

3. releasing on the same day the ps3 is. I wonder what else microsoft will release this day? I am sure they are getting gears of war and some other titles for this day possibly.

4. I'm starting to doubt it as all the impressions i've read complain of the same old faulty camera causing sonic to zoom off ledges to his death. To be honest it's best to pin your hopes on Wildfire.
I wish sonic team would go back to 2D...

5. Looks promising from all the videos I've seen. It seems to me that all the camera problems would go away if all the levels just went forward. In any case the game looks beautiful and if it plays as well as the others it'll at least be fun to play... if not a little frustrating at parts.

6. Sonic is still 2D, it's called Sonic Advance on GBA, and Sonic Rush on DS.
I'm waiting on Sonic Adventure 3 myself.

7. I've always been a long-time Sonic fan, so I am looking forward to this game. Though some of the games lately (such as "Sonic Heroes", and ESPECALLY "Shadow the Hedgehog") haven't been that good, but this game has been in development for awhile and its starting to look promising.
But why do they always have to add new characters and now it seems that their excluding all their older characters. I would like to see a Sonic game with just the original characters from the beginning of the series (Sonic, Tails, Knuckles), and actually have them playable. I personally think the series should go more towards its original Genesis roots.

what i meant to say was why dont they make an epic 2d game for the next-gen consoles i.e. with waayy more levels and fancier graphics. The advance series and Rush (which was good) still feel like spinoffs, not part of the main series.

1. I hope it will. I have fond memories for Sonic Adventure on DC. With next-gen capabilites, they should be able to capture a serious sense of speed. But judging from the past couple of horrid Sonic titles, who knows if the Sonic Team still has it in them.
