And so it begins, a November to end all Novembers. Within the next month, we will be positively assaulted with new and wonderful Xbox 360 games. The summer wasn't exactly thin, especially as summers tend to go for video games, but the sheer amount of games dropping this month alone -- good games, mind you -- is ridiculous. But let's not get ahead of ourselves thinking about the impending arrival of Mass Effect, Assassin's Creed, Kane & Lynch, and Rock Band (to name a few). No, let's concentrate on this week's titles. One thing at a time, as it were. So, this week we have:- Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare
- F.E.A.R. Files
- Bladestorm: The Hundred Years' War
- Scene-It
- LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga
- Cabela's Big Game Hunter
Don't get too excited though. We've got three more weeks of high caliber releases to come. You might want to start your financial planning now.

I've got FEAR Files reserved.
COD can suck my ass. The first was okay, two blew and three was garbage.
I can wait until I rent COD4 or borrow it from a friend but I am not rushing out to give them my money yet again. Maybe if they want to refund my money from 3 I'll grab 4 but even still my hate for the series would beg me to spend the refund on new socks before I spent it on COD4.

I thought the first two CODs were pretty sweet; it was the third that blew major ass. COD2 nailed some really cool large battles, especially that last one with the tanks coming through the smoke; awesome. I couldn't stand COD3, but that wasn't made by the original game makers, it was done by Treyarch as oppose to Infiniti Ward.

@6: Right there with you, had I still been single I think CoD would have taken the cake (and we all love cake) but the girlfriend is craving for Scene-It. And in all honesty, I think a Scene-It with 1800 questions is going to be a blast.

I'll pass on CoD4, as realistic war games have never done much for me and I've still got Halo and PDZ to fulfill my need to shoot things from a first-person perspective.
Scene It! will probably end up on my list at some point after I played and enjoyed the demo. With the holidays coming up, it definitely would be a good group activity (and some easy Achievements, tee hee).

Does anyone have any details on the "exclusive unlockable content" in Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga that various retailers seem to be touting? I need to figure out where best to buy this.

@ 11, hey it could be worse. It could be a bunch of crappy games or lack there of (cough PS3 lineup cough). There's always gamefly to lighten the burden.

scene-it is a great way to get a girlfriend interested in videogames, if any of you have that problem. they had that scene-it game on ondemand this summer and my girlfriend loved it, so i'm assuming the love will translate.
anyone getting cabela's big game hunter? i can't get myself to buy one of these games when i have my bow and rifle licenses tucked nicely in my annual hunter's guide waiting for me to get home from college. if so, let me know if it's good.

I bet most of the people who blindly lambast COD3 have never even actually played the game. It's looks and plays a lot better than COD2, and the multiplayer is the best of any game on the xbox 360 in my opinion. Team Fortress 2? Please. Put that Dreamcast cartoon-with-guns away and pick up COD3 instead.

@18 I assure you I played through 1, 2 and 3. On Veteran no less. I hate them because you don;t have to play them to finish them. Run to a checkpoint and wait for the AI to kill everything, repeat. I finished each in an afternoon that way. I traded 2 in the same day I bought it. Granted I'm not much for multiplayer. There is only so much time I can dedicate to running in circles holding the R trigger while occasionally jumping and still be amused.
If you like them that's cool. Just not my preferred style.

Scene It? Yipee! This and Mass Effect and I'm done for this year.
Played Guitar Hero III, all these songs could have been an expansion pack for II. Another thing, is it me or is medium somewhat tougher than on III than II?
Played the COD 4 beta. In a word, awesome. But...Halo 3 feels so good. Not a comparrison jut a preference.
