Wednesday sees the release of a new Oblivion patch that fixes over 40 bugs, including a couple old favorites:Fixed infinite gold issue on some dead NPCs.
Fixed an issue with duplicating items and unequiping the bow.
Here's the complete list. How many people have grown attached/addicted to these cheats?
[Thanks Josh]

I know they cant cater to everyone but i think it wouldve been great if they had just left the arrow cloning, because you can use it to get items or money

Cheating is cheating. If you can't make it through Oblivion without cloning items, getting infinite gold, or using other exploits, then you're a loser wimp who can't hack it in a fair game, and you're only damaging your own enjoyment of the game by making things less of a challenge.
I suppose you're the type of people who would hollow out your bat in baseball, or use grip-goo in football, or wear lead-lined boxing gloves in a boxing match, and then say "it's part of the game!"
It's not part of the game. It's cheating. I applaud Bethesda for fixing these problems so that future players don't whip through Oblivion and then get online and gripe that it's "too short" or "too easy."

#7 you are entitled to your opinion of course, but I have to disagree with you. Your analogies are poor ones to begin with. "Cheating" in a single player gaming experience isn't the same as cheating against another competitor.
If someone chooses to use a games exploits to enhance their experience they only one they re cheating is themselves. The fact is some of these games are very difficult for many gamers, so I don't begrudge them doing what they can to complete a game, even if its something I wouldn't necessarily do myself. And I certainly wouldn't bash them for it.
As far as online cheating, or cheating in a sporting event that is another ball of wax completely.
The latter is a clear violation of ethics. The former is simply an alternate choice with no "victim".

ZeroCorpse- you seem to have completely missed your own point in comparing single player gaming experiences to multiplayer esperiences. In all of your examples you are giving situations where your actions are unfair to others in a multiplayer setting. However, Oblivion is ultimately a single player game.
Is Oblivion hard? No. In fact, there's a difficulty slider which can make the game a cake walk.
Is there any reason to employ these exploits that would hurt others?
The answer to that is yes--if you get aggrevated about gamerscores, achievements, etc. Otherwise, if YOU want to use these "cheats" you're only hurting YOURSELF. People are upset because these exploits have improved the enjoyment of their game, and taking them out serves no real purpose other than to clean up the code.

Anything to help with the crashes/freezes on this game, it has been ridiculous.

That was a long list of "bugs" at the Bethesda site that were "fixed". The only glitch that I exploited was selling items on horseback with the orc lady at Kvatch, twice. So for me it's really no big deal as far as impacting my gameplay, but I'm glad to see Bethesda putting in the time and energy to make Oblivion the game they wanted it to be when they first released it instead of ignoring bugs that can impact gameplay, like being shut out of quests, freezes, etc... Oblivion is an awesome game, I've put in over 400 hours, and I'll keep on playing it and getting the add-ons, except the horse armour.

Not my experience. I took sneaking, alchemy and security as major skills. Then after escaping prison I snuck around everywhere breaking into people's houses to steal food and components to make potions. Went up quite a few levels. Then I went for a walk and got killed by a brigand, so I went for a swim and got slaughterfished.
