- make sure the screensaver on the X360 is activated
- start any download from live marketplace that takes longer than 10 mins. to download (to let the screensaver kick in)
- leave the download going and don't touch the controller. the screensaver will dim the screen after 10 mins.
- unplug the ethernet cable or end your internet connection from your router/modem
- you'll see the screen graphics scramble on the screen when it tries to tell you that the connection has ended.
- However, when you hit the controller the dashboard screen goes back to normal (at least that is what happens to mine)

7. Nah, the only thing like that I've seen is when one of my 360s got bricked by 2006 FIFA World Cup on Saturday afternoon. :-(

9. Since my internet connection breaks off very often, I encounter this problem whenever I download a demo. But like you said, it's easily remedied by hitting a button on a controller, so no biggie.

10. Yes I had this happen to me. I thought it was my tv because I had turned it off while downloading something and when I turned it back on it was like that. So I did not think anything of it. Moved the controler and it popped back. No big deal.

13. I have came across this also, though I've never unplugged my ethernet cable, possibly because my internet likes to kick me off xbox live a lot.. so maybe thats the alternative to having to pull the cable...

15. Yeah, I've had this happen to me a while ago. I use WiFi in my house, but havent got a WiFi adapter for my 360, so I use my PC as a bridge, and the connection's a little iffy, so when the 360 loses the connection for half a second, it gets all scrambled up like that

19. I think I had this happen once, but no major problem. Currently I'm in a love/hate relationship with BF2. EA's servers lagging and dropping me and the voice chat being broken drives me nuts. But damn, that game is the best when it works.

20. I've never came across this, though I never really removed the ethernet cable during a download. They will more than likely fix this when they release the spring dash update (which might be soon after the Xbox Live downtime).
