2. Despite it being a PPC chip, I wonder if one of the new Intel water cooler systems will strap in there. But I agree with #1, if you're bothered by a fan, you'd probably more angry about voiding your warranty and borg'ing up your 360 for the sake of performance gains that won't actually happen.
