2. Both the Walmart and the Target near my house (Albuquerque, NM) had 360s the past couple of days. Three at Target and two at Walmart.

5. Remember how it is actually marketed.. there is noe "Premium" system. There is the Xbox 360, and then the Xbox 360 core system.Soo. by saying that it's the Xbox 360, that means it is NOT the core system.

6. i checked the "the source at circuit city" on line it shows a 'core system'(it very clearly shows NO hardrive and a wired controller) and after you check stock they have one in all toronto (eaton center) BUT it says it ships in april...WTF? i am glad i have mine..!

8. 4th in line. Would've been 2nd but I hopped off line for a minute to go to the bathroom over an hour before opening. My Circuit City had 30 premiums and 15 cores and there were definitely less than 45 people on line.

9. Glad I browsed this blog. Called and ran over to the Burlington, VT Circuit City. They had tons of Core left, but only 4 Premiums. By the time I had checked out, only 1 Premium was left.

10. Glad to be of service Barrett.

Seems like MS might have finally kicked the shortages... just in time for ES: IV, GR:AW, Burnout: Revenge.

11. I also am glad I checked this blog. I made it over to the nearest CC at 1 minute past 10 and picked up a premium. There were 16 premiums for sale and about 10 core. I'm pretty stoked.

13. I purchased a premium package this morning in Dublin, CA. We were given vouchers showing our place in line (I was #3). Once we were let into the store, we were all told to pick out at least one game and one accessory. I thought this was odd, but since I had planned on it anyway, I didn't think twice. At the register we were then told that we had to purchase one of their extended warrantys. When I objected, I was told that I would not be sold a system unless I purchased the warranty. I did so reluctantly, but I will be planning on calling the store manager and their corporate office about this.

Anyone else run into similar problems?

14. Elias #13: This sounds exactly like the same problem that I read about during the initial launch. I'm sure you will read others tell you this this is a TOTAL BS! as I recall, Circuit City does not have the right to force ANYONE to buy an extended warranty, let alone any games or accessories. The only way they can possibly do this is if ALL CC had this company wide policy...and you can check the next CC down the street--the policy doesn't exist. You should really start B1tchin to the store manager who is trying to get their sales margins up, cuz she/he is the one telling the employees to drive these "mandatory" add on sales. The warranty is a voluntary contract, and actually should be brought up to the better business bureu. I use to work in an Office Supply/Tech store, and feel disgusted that this particular store is taking advantage of consumers. This really GRINDS MY GEARS! Sorry for the rant.

B1tch at CC, and if you really want/need a warranty, get the one through M$FT.

15. Abs is indeed right. This was reported as happening during launch week too. It's a deplorable act of business, but one they know they can get away with when most people want the system badly enough that they're willing to put up with these strong arm tactics.

16. Yeah great that they are shipping more consoles, but WTF.... No Hard Drives? What should us Core owners do? Anyone know why they are unavailable? I have been searching daily for 2 months straight.
