I complained and got XBL time instead. Why the hell would I want a "free" game that I'll play once...
if that.

wow, the people that are complaining about a free game update really look...pathetic. does your life just revolve around a once a week xbla release?...wow.
i for one never buy arcade releases, so to have a full one for free sounds just grand to me.

this is like getting a gift card to a store you would never shop at ... they should have gave us points and let us decide what game WE wanted ... and please 'xbox live team' you have a year till next xmas holiday and this happened last year and the year before so there should be no surprise .. the system will be busy at xmas so DEAL WITH IT and get it figured out !?!

I don't have this game yet. I can wait to download it for free. I liked the demo.
But excluding the people that already own the game is not cool. I agree, M$ should've given points instead.

Major Nelson said, that anyone who owns the game can call xbox live customer suppoer and they will "be taken care of." I've read peoples comments, and they said they got 800 points back.

No great surprise there. When it was announced that Undertow would be free I just assumed it would be an Arcade Wednesday release.
I would have been more surprised if we'd had Undertow AND a new XBLA game!

I called customer support late this afternoon, and the notice I got was that an official anouncement will be posted for the Undertow owners.
If not the 800 points, I would prefer Pac Man CE or Street Fighter...
