Death at a Funeral was actually really funny.
Just because there are no Blockbuster releases doesn't mean its not a good week.
So... "the movies being offered aren't all that spectacular?" No. Go rent Death at a Funeral and support independent, overseas movies. Unless you like "comedies" such as Scary Movie, then you should probably just stick to that.

Scary Movie 1, 2 and 3 were lollercausts. 4 and beyond - not so much... I admit, Death at a Funeral was good too, but please don't judge people on their ability to enjoy things.

Yeah, you're right - I forgot the first ones were OK.
The last ones were so bad though, I just blocked out the whole franchise from my memory.

A more general comment (and maybe it doesn't belong in this thread) but does anyone else think these prices are still too expensive?
I rented a SD of The Invasion (Nicole Kidman) and the sounds was ok, but sounded like stereo, maybe 2.1 but not 5.1 - my center channel was silent during the movie.
There are DVD machines at the grocery store with movies for $1. Family Video rents new releases for less than $3, Almost new for $1 and everything else is $.50 each.
Considering XBLM doesn't have the brick-and-mortar overhead, they should really be more affordable. Even with my Verizon FiOS I've noticed some titles are less and I don't have to screw around with MS Points.
Anyone else?
