SCi, best known as the parent company of Eidos, isn't doing too well. Shares in the company recently fell the farthest in the company's history. The fall comes in the wake of ended takeover talks (which had included potential buyers Time Warner, Ubisoft, and others) and the announcement that the company would post an operating loss in 2008. It is the given reason for this loss that will interest gamers most though: SCi announced that four of its 2008 titles will be delayed, most notably the upcoming Tomb Raider: Underworld. Lara's latest adventure will be pushed to the 2008 holiday season. That's probably for the best really. After all, those footprint physics take a lot of time to perfect.

Sad news, but as long as it comes out eventually, I'm good.

I was hoping to get this in the summer. That's okay, looks like I'll need to pick up Anniversary to hold me over

As long as they sort out the Achievements in the next version.
In the DLC Anniversary you get points for completing the level. But in the retail version I bought you only get them for not dying, and the levels are so huge that aint happening. Plus one of the APs, defeat x without dying glitched and didn't unlock, despite me not dying while defeating x.
Legend had great APs, but Anniversary not.

To be fair, it should be noted that in the retail version of Anniversary, you can get the full 1000 points. The DLC version only allows for 250, as per Microsoft's rules regarding achievements in downloadable content.
As for Underworld, I'm sad to see it pushed back, but I'm not surprised considering it wasn't even announced before a few months ago.

The difference is that unless you play the game ridiculously well first time through, you wont get more than about 70g of the 1000. In fact some achievements are first attempt, meaning cock-up and you will never get a chance at it without deleting your game.
