First of all, we should probably let you know that the "footage" referred to in the headline above is only ten seconds long. That said, we're still damned excited to see visual proof of a Raiden title for Xbox 360. What isn't made entirely clear is whether or not the game is a full retail title or an Xbox Live Arcade game. The description on GameTrailers notes, "Get ready for an action-packed collection of some of the greatest shooters ever created!" which leads us to believe it may be a retail disc. Perhaps the most interesting thing is that this is not Raiden IV, which was confirmed for 360 earlier this year. It's hard to say exactly what's going, but one thing is certain: Raiden on Xbox equals shootery goodness. Check out the video after the break.

I remember back in the days that there was a Raiden announced on XBox... which never saw the light of days. that was a great disapointment.
I just hope It will not happen again and that It will be import friendly too.

Well, the video itself shows Raiden, Raiden II and Raiden Jet... it would be awesome if all of this was packed together for 800 points on XBLA, honestly. Good value and I bet it'd do fairly well as opposed to a retail release.

Another Japanese developer going for gold with a 360 game and ending up with perhaps 15000 sold copies or less. If a long awaited game like Lost Odyssey only sells 55000 copies in Japan nowadays, there's not much hope for the 360 left in Japan. I really don't see the point of Japanese devs making the effort these days.

The file is named t_raidenfightersaces_xbla.wmv on GameTrailers, so I'd guess it's XBLA, eh? :-)
