Is Infinity Ward doing COD5 or are they still doing the one-on, one-off method?

If it's not done by IW then it won't be a must-buy for me anymore.
And if the horrible rumours are true about it being WW2 then it'll be a DEFINITE do-not-buy for me.
Sorry but the old-style shit doesn't interest me at all

Guitar Hero IV will have free-form worlds, where you must perfect three challenges from skateboarding to driving before playing a gig. This part will have Bam Margera and Gerard Way as bosses, who will try to destroy your shows.
The setlist will include Slipknot, Linkin Park, and a new original piece for Expert players called "TripleChordRape".

Back when Nelson Rodriguez didn't work for MS (and many months before CoD4 was released), he leaked that he was on an airplane and saw some dude reading a CoD5 document with pictures and everything. He said it was in fact NOT modern combat, but WW2 era. For some reason and I can't remember for sure, I want to say that it was NOT and IW product either, but I can't be sure on that.

The title he gave was Call of Duty V: Victory, and he said it looked like a WW2 game.

yay.... GH 4 will probably be called Even More Legends of Rock... and have David Lee Roth, and boss battles with Jack White, and probably Jimi Hendrix, or Santana... that's about it. and online - coop tour mode.
seriously though. GH 3 was such a dissapointment, GH 4 better be better than Rock Band (which I doubt).

I'll be passing on any non-IW COD games from now on and I'm sure I'm not alone.

i may be wrong on this, but Microsoft could own the rights to project gotham racing, pgr, etc and there just making the same game under a different moniker. Kinda like...MSR became PGR.

I saw this in my RSS feeds and thought Bizarre creations were making a racing game. Now I'm sad. : (

More CoD goodness! Honestly, i don't really care if it's WWII shooter or modern warfare. If it is as good as CoD 4, then we are all set and i am all sold!

I'm on the same boat, COD 4 is hella fun. As long as it's made by IW then it will be a must get game.

Call of Duty 5 should take place in the future and involve time travel, so you go to all the different eras of major war in this country. Start with the Revolution and end in the future fighting robots. Oh yeeeah.

commenter 4 is right, I heard the same podcast where nelson talked about it. Cod5 is going back to WW2 (see: beating a dead horse) and I'm fairly sure that Treyarch (Cod3, blegghhh) is doing it.

Would probably be a HUGE mistake to go back to WW2 for COD5, but then again they seem to be very comfortable in that era so we'll see.
