Call of Duty 4 (so very) limited edition announced

Yesterday, Activision announced that Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare will be available this November in a limited collector's edition on the Xbox 360 and PC. The limited edition will consist of a hardcover art book as well as a bonus DVD that includes making-of materials, level walk-throughs, and a documentary on the British S.A.S. All totaled, the bonus DVD features over four hours of video content. Not too shabby. But we sadly noticed that the 360 limited edition lacks the digital version of the Brady Games strategy guide that the PC version includes. We aren't sure why Activision didn't put the strategy guide in the 360 version, but something tells us we'll be seeing it pop up on the XBLM ... for Microsoft points. But if that doesn't bother you and you feel that an art book slash bonus DVD are worth the extra cash, go ahead and get your CoD 4 pre-order on for $10 more than the standard edition.

[Thanks, homer34]

Artbooks and making's of are so last-gen.

Let's get some figurines or helmets or something.

I'll be going with the vanilla edition of this one. heck, I'll probably just rent it for 45 days from blockbuster to make sure it's worth the buy.

The Xbox doesn't exactly have a PDF viewer or anything, so I don't know that a version will show up at all... unless they want to sell a bunch of lame videos... :(

That's cool Intentless, the beta token process made me lose interest...but I heard it's a pretty good game. And also with games coming out such as Halo 3, Orange Box, Rock Band, and Mass Effect, I doubt I'll have time to play this.

Not even close to being worth the $10 extra. Not worth it at all. If the dvd is chock full of stuff, then maybe

The Beta has been a lot of fun, but I don't see the value in this limited edition. Walkthroughs are nice to refer to, but not coming in the 360 version is kinda weak. They could at least of had a pdf file on a seperate disc to pop into your pc.
