WRUP: downloadable goodness edition

Filed under: What are you playing?

Spring tends to be a dry spell for new games, and this year is no exception. Sure, there are some big releases around the corner (C&C3 drops next week and the Halo 3 beta the week after that), but Xbox 360 fanboys have a plethora of downloadable games from which to choose. Xbox Live Arcade has been consistently pumping out new titles for over a month now. Even Marketplace has dropped some decent demos lately. As such, this weekend is all about downloadable games for us (and Gears for Dustin). We'll be rocking some Eets, maybe a little Catan and some Xbox Live matches with the Command & Conquer 3 demo.

How about you fanboys, what will you be playing?

1. I'll be finishing up achievements in games I own like PDZ, MotoGP 06, and hopefully finding those last 2 DAMNED hidden orbs in Crackdown.

2. No one playing Spidey? I'll be picking that one up and swinging all weekend.

3. Spidey is a cash cow for sony and they're milking it for all its worth. my friends are hyped for the movie tonight...but i really don't even care about it...even though i am going to watch it next wednesday...

and the game...wow...it looks horrible. i played the one on xbox...and it was absolute crap. so im guessing this isn't going to be much better...

4. I've been playing Catan, Catan, Catan, and still haven't beaten the CPU on Hard.

I'm also playing Pokemon Diamond on the DS and OOTP2007 on the PC. I've grown weary of LOTRO.

7. Catan, CoD3, R6, C&C3 demo, and I'll probably go outside and play with my mountain bike.

8. Try out all the trials/demos I haven't seen from the last 2-3 weeks, annex on Gears, remaining orbs on Crackdown, and I'll probably go outside and play with myself.

12. Halo 2. Still rocking the OG Xbox. I'll be playing Crackdown and Guitar Hero if I can find an Elite this weekend.

13. Yeah my console is still broken, so I'll be playing nothing again, unless I'm at my g/f's house who's brother has a 360 and she likes to game with me. And in that case it'll probably just be GH2 or some Halo 2 matches while she's in the shower or something.

I love the console, but I just want one that works! I only had it for a week and it broke again.

14. GH 2, Catan Catan Catan, some Halo 2 to stay frosty for the Beta, and that's probably it.

16. Super Paper Mario! Oh, wait, you guys like the 360... well, maybe I'll catch up with some XBLA/demos from the past week or two. I've got C&C3 for PC (the idea that I'd have to *pay* for more maps basically killed the 360 version for me, plus I don't have 2 360s so I couldn't play with my wife), so no need for that demo, but there's some cool Arcade content (CATAN!!!)...
