Tetris Evolution video review featuring a giraffe
Gamertag Radio's Godfree put together a video review of the newly released 360 title Tetris Evolution. Their review (embedded above) features achievement talk and gameplay footage showcasing a four player showdown, beautiful clouds, and one hungry giraffe. Black tongues rock! From what we see, Tetris Evolution looks to be simple, colorful, customizable, and takes advantage of full Xbox Live integration. Is it worth $30? That's for you to decide, but this is definitely one of the prettiest Tetris games to date.

Bought it, and I love it. Didn't realize how bad I am until I took on the players online.

This game is awesome! Especially, if you're a fan of Tetris. I've played Tetris in many forms since it game out on the original Game Boy back in the late 80's. However, I've never battled someone online before until this game! Wow, what a rush. It's so fun. I agree with the first poster. There are a lot of really good players out there. To give you an idea of my addiction, my online record is 92-92. That's right, 184 games games online in just the first weekend of owning it.

Does it use the good ole' Tetris theme? Tetris DS technically had it in there, but you had to play a long time to actually hear it.

Yes, the classic theme is the default tune played during the game, though it can be swapped for about 10 other tunes if you get sick of hearing it.

The whole game is great, especially the music in the background.
I seen someone on another site, I forget which, but they made a good point for anybody thinking that the price might be off and/or this should have been an XBLA title. Think of it this way, for Luminies Live on the arcade, the full game, all options, runs about $37 or so. This Tetris game, runs $29.99 brand new and you get a physical disc (in case you want to resell). Tetris is the greatest game ever, and playing against people online reminds me so much of Tetrinet. If you are into Tetris at all, this is the game for you, if not, its worthy of a rental to pick up some extra geek points (ie achievements)
