Shipping this week: "a lot" edition

For a time that typically represents a drought of new games, March really kicking out the Xbox 360 titles this week. All in all, we have 7 (count 'em, 7) new titles to enjoy. Well, technically we have 6 new titles and 1 expansion, but we're not about to complain. Notable among this week's releases are TMNT, Virtua Tennis 3, Tetris Evolution, and the Oblivion expansion, Shivering Isles. Without further ado, the list:

North America

TMNT: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
UEFA Championships League 2006-2007
Tetris Evolution
Armored Core 4
Earth Defense Force 2017
Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion - Shivering Isles Expansion Pack
Virtua Tennis 3

Europe

Brian Lara International Cricket 2007
Def Jam: Icon
NBA Street Homecourt
TMNT
UEFA Champions League 2006-2007
Virtua Tennis 3

Update: Added European releases (couldn't find them this morning).

1. What about Europe? :(

Posted at 2:03PM on Mar 19th 2007 by Adam

2. I've randomly started up Oblivion out of nowhere again and have been getting the random achievements I never bothered to get. I'm more interested in Shivering Isles because of it, but it really depends on how its handled. If it's a lot of random fetch quests I'm probably not going to bother... I guess I'll wait for reviews.

5. I thought Shivering Isles was coming out March 27?

Posted at 3:02PM on Mar 19th 2007 by kabes

6. I'm hearing about Shivering Isles being released this week, but no hard evidence of it. Like kabes, I've heard the week of the 27th.

That being said, the wallet is taking a hit this week. Outside of UEFA and Virtua Tennis (Demo saved me $50), all of those will be mine.

I'm just glad Monster Madness has been delayed till May.

9. I would say its a pretty crap week for 360 games...these are the decent games for this week:

- Armored Core 4
- Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion - Shivering Isles
- Virtua Tennis 3

....but I'm still not getting any of em! :P

11. I agree with the others in that I haven't heard Shivering Isles was out now. The PS3 version of Oblivion is supposed to be out as early as tomorrow. However in an interview with onthexbox.com last week, I read this:

OTX: Are there any future patches planned for Oblivion?

BN: We’ll have a new update that will be available right before Shivering Isles comes out. Beyond that, we don’t have any definite plans.

So, there will be a patch before it comes out. Unless that patch is soon, I don't see Shivering Isles coming out this week.

12. Is Shivering Isles coming to 360 via downloadable content or a disc?

Posted at 8:07PM on Mar 19th 2007 by Joseph

13. It's downloadable. Apparently they will be packing it with the full game in stores in the future, though.

Somehow I missed Earth Defense Force 2017. Definitely interested in that one.

14. Armored Core is the stupidest game to come out this week. It's not even in my Game Q. Rubbish, Pure and Simple. It's like Barbie Dress Up for Pre-Pubescent little girls. FLAMING!!! Barbie's Equestrian bang-bang would make a better game, at least then we could watch ill proportioned plastic strippers without nipples rub up against each other.
