6. As an Australian I can tell you it's "crikey"... but I hate myself for correcting that... Steve Irwin has (had) a lot to answer for :P

Also, hells yes I'll be indulging in the HD-DVD player. Conveniently that launch date is a week or so before my birthday :)

10. What on earth does "cricky" mean? I'm from the UK, and even I know that Australians say "crikey"...

11. And why did you change the system to make it easier to comment? The comments here have really gone downhill since then...

12. Yeah, i saw that "Cricky, Australia gets..."
And I was thinking Cricky was some lone town/city/region in Australia that was like, the last place in Australia to get the drive, because of the "City, Country" kind of notation us English speakers often use, and because I'm unfamiliar with Australia, and unfamiliar with the word "Cricky", it made most sense that it was just some unknown (to me) place. Cricky doesn't even sound like Crikey, the lack of an "e" makes the "i" short, instead of long, which throws off the whole word. It took me a minute to realize that someone was trying to type Crikey, but didn't bother, uh, you know, thinking.
