Over at buymobilephones.net they have an interesting holiday deal going on. New cell phone buyers can get a FREE Xbox 360 core system with any cell phone purchase from their site this Christmas season. It looks as if the site is based out of the United Kingdom and we're not sure how legit this company is, but maybe our fellow fanboys can enlighten us. Also, make note that you'll have to charge £199.99 to your credit card to get the 360 lickity split, but they promise to refund you soon after. We just thought we'd let you know as this is another holiday deal if you're looking to get a 360 this year.[Thanks, Liam B.]

The site is perfectly legit, but to get the Core system you basically have to sign up for one of their mobile phone tariffs, which means a contract. That's probably where they're justifying offering a free Core.
If anyone's interested in this, you should probably read the contract details beforehand or you could end up with a x-year long contract which doubles in price in 6 months - all of which could be mentions in the RREEEAAAAAAAL small print.

I would like to point out that the site in question is owned by a company that has a very bad BBB record and is known for horrible customer service. DO NOT GET A 360 FROM THESE PEOPLE!!!!!

In the UK it is normal practice for online mobile retailers to give away stuff with their phones. It isn't unusual for 360s, DS, Small LCD TVs and so on. It's been going on for years and is legit.
The prices are actually better than most high-street although you usually have to take a £30+ contract to qualify and not change it for 6 months over a 18 month contract. In the past I've been given a GBC and a Symbian Organiser.

As stated above, it is common practice for independent mobile phone retailers to give away PSPs, 360s and DSs with new connections in the UK. Not only does this annoy corporate phone retailers (whom I work for) but it also annoys corporate game retailers (who I also work for). During 360 launch, an mobile indy opposite us (in the game store) was giving away 360s - so we weren't too pleased :| A lot of people traded them in though :)

I have found this company to be fine, whilst having to pay for the 360 then get it rebated is a pain, but I ordered my Orange SPV C600 and got my 360 in days.
Yes, it is common for deals like this in the UK. However this seems to be the best one due to the offer of a free game voucher with your purchase.
There is e2save which is run by the carphone warehouse who do the same deals but the phones cost around £80 which aint exactly free is it?

Do NOT do this deal, unless you want to be carrying around a huge cellphone from the '80s... do you see how BIG it is next to the 360 in the above picture? ;-)
