Vegas multiplayer demo infiltrates Live [update 1]

There's nothing quite like a nice Friday demo. For those of you who can't get enough of the Rainbow Six: Vegas demo, you're in luck, because a multiplayer demo just dropped on Live Marketplace. According to the description, there are tons of modes available, including Adversarial, Attack & Defend, and Terro Hunt. Terro Hunt, 4 player co-op game in which your team slaughters hordes of terrorists, sounds particularly fun. We haven't finished the download yet (almost a gig), so we don't know if character creation -- or face mapping -- is available. We'll update you with our impressions as soon as possible.

Update: It looks like this demo is only available for Gold members. Silver members can get this on November 24th. Still, considering it's online multiplayer, how would Silver members play it anyway?

[Thanks, Chris Hipple]

1. This game was a serious contender for the money in my wallet... until I got Gears of War. That said, I still look foward to playing the demo!

2. Character creation is included, you get to pick male/female, pick from a few set faces (male can add facial hair) then from "facial features" which is camo, scars etc. You can also kit yourself out picking from a range of weapons, armor and clothing.

(btw you can tag your character with a 3 letter prefix, so im guessing this is for clans)

3. There's also a basketball demo available (I think it was NCAA 07).

4. Yes, I downloaded the Vegas demo. It is horrible. And to think, I almost bought this game of Gears of War. That would have been a huge mistake. I really hope RB6 pulls this game off the shelves before we can buy it, so they can fix the multiplayer. Horrible!!!

5. Sorry, I meant "over Gears of War." Not "of Gears of War."

But does anyone else agree with my comments?

6. I'm playing GOW Multiplayer, RB6 Demo, and FFIII for my DS.

Actually I didn't have any problems with RB6 Multiplayer. I like it, though I'm missing the graphical power of GOW and the Roadie Run.

I didn't realize how slow normal shooters were until I played GOW for 2 weeks and then RB6.

The graphics aren't that great in multiplayer, but it is still fun. Can anything live up to GOW.

7. they said that there are over 3 million different combinations to choose from in the real game, and that's not including the digimask.
