The Artist of the Month for August is (drum roll please) Audioslave. Be prepared to game with Audioslave in Madden 07 (that's football, right?) and download their video, "Original Fire." There's even a chance to win an Xbox 360 and Audioslave's next album. It's all part of the hoopla surrounding this "Madden" I keep hearing so much about. If you're interested in playing Madden with the group, click here for details.

Artist of the Month has been the worst part of XBL so far. The rest of XBL's offerings at least cater to the gamers. This is just some suits making "mutually beneficial" business deals that really add nothing to the experience for us gamers. Maybe have multiple artists of the month so that we have a choice, because Audioslave is shit. Or artist of the week? Or I can just continue to completely ignore the whole thing everytime I turn on my 360.

I LOVE hearing people bitch about getting free stuff on marketplace.
Of course the record companies love it, and so do people who feel like clogging up their hard drives with 200 megabyte music videos--it's a win-win situation. I will never shun free content.
I'm amazed there's something to bitch about here 360 fanboy...
Unrelated: Dead Rising demo out. Get your zombie slaying on.

Larry, I was just about to write that.
Out of Exile was a fantastic follow-up to their debut album. Lighter but more put-together. Better harmony and beats as well. A superior achievement. Really looking forward to the next installment.
So to echo Larry, I haven't been interested in AotM so far. But if they continue putting solid bands up there, I will be.

I loved Out of Exile, but many people ragged on it because it was a departure for them... I have very high hopes for the new one. They also happen to put on the best live show I have ever seen.

I might care, if they provided tracks as mp3/whatever audio-only downloads instead of videos so I could actually listen to them while I play a game, instead of watching them and not playing.

For anyone that DOES have it, does it end right when Tom starts a really sweet sounding solo? I may have to download it again.
