Planet Xbox 360 have posted a review of Pelican's Xbox 360 Fan Stand, a peripheral whose usefulness we've questioned before. They have a chart showing the exhaust air of the console being lowered 3° Celsius, although it's unclear what they used to measure this drop.Despite their 85/100 review, unless your system has a real problem with overheating or questionably low air flow, and it happens to be oriented vertically, we still think that Pelican's $20 stand is a hammer looking for a nail.
[Thanks, Matt]

I have one, I don't have an overheating problem, but I'm a bit paranoid about it.. same as my PC. I do think $20 is a bit much for it, it would be nice if it were $10 or $15 and pushed a little more air.. but still not bad. It also gives you a few places for your games & Media remote if you have one.

Is it just me, or does that stand kind of remind you of those old measuring tools that they used to measure your feet from the shoe section of department stores?

He hasn't measured core temp but infact measured the exhaust air temperature coming out of the back.
