Here in the States, Microsoft has been on a restocking frenzy as of late trying to fill all the forlorn pre-orders and put more units on the shelves. With each new shipment we hear about, it doesn't take long for them to sell out again. The article says that Microsoft is "working around the clock to deliver as many Xbox 360 consoles as humanly possible."
Microsoft UK hasn't given any word about its shipments, but a spokesperson has said that they are also "on track" to meet their 90 day forecast of 2.75 to 3.0 million units.

Most people I know gave up on MS.
They better hope the ( Casual ) gamer takes
up the slack from the hard core, because MS
lost most of them. Between the $1000.00 Ebay retards and the $2000.00 SAVER BUNDLES, SONY will bury them once again. GOOD Job on Screwing Your Fan Base

I went to the GameStop I pre-ordered my 360 last night and I am now 6th on the list. The store got in 6 on the second shipment.
I have a theory. Microsoft is filling the non pre-order stores first because they know that the people that pre-orded back in the summer will get the box no matter what so they can sell more to the general public. I have less than a week to go for a console I pre-ordered in August. YAY!!! I am so about to explode it hurts. I can't wait to see how Sony is going to handle the PS3. I was able to get my PSP with no issues.

RM Don't be stupid. Don't read xbox sites just to post your ignorant speeches about xbox. Microsoft did not lose most of their fanbase. I've seen plenty of playstation fanboys waiting for the 360 and saying they are glad they did. Good luck with the PS3. And BTW. sony had a huge fan base on the PS2 but they had a full year to gain that before the xbox (a new console on the market) ever came out. Microsoft did well for a first time launch. They gained a foothold in a market that squeezed out SEGA.

I pre-ordered mine from EB back in August. Thanks to this site, I knew to check out Best Buy this morning. Our store opened at 8:00, I was there at 7:45. I ended up being first in line and got one of about thirty that they had in stock. About twenty minutes ago, EB called me to tell me that they had received a system for me.
I'm starting to wonder if it is indeed a manufactured shortage. My 360 has a manufacture date of October 22. I can't imagine where the console has sat for the past two months. Just interesting, I think.

Okay, so what are the US projections. AFAICT, we haven't even hit the ONE million mark.

I was told the Best Buy in the Galleria (tony shopping area in Houston) would have 360s on Saturday (12/18). Showed up at 8:00 a.m. and told "no, it will be tomorrow a.m. and better get in line." Showed up at 8 on Sunday and they had handed out 49 wristbands. A guy offered to sell me his wristband for $350. I offered $100 to anyone in line to hand me their 360 (I would then pay retail price for box). No takers. I can't find one in Houston, so I bought my son a $400 Klipsch iFi speaker set for his iPod. He can get a 360 or PS3 in April for his birthday.

I was saying the same thing that I hated MS because I couldn't get my 360 that I preordered since june. But I ran to Circuit City on the Dec 21, since we had a subway strike in nyc, I was able to snag me one from the 6 they got that morning. And I tell u on a standard tv that thing looks amazing, imagine later on with the newer & better games on an HDTV. So Im happy with my purchase and its worth it. Im still interested to see how sony handles there whole launch?

I got mine on the 23rd at Best Buy. I showed up 3 minutes before they opened and I was the 20th person in line. They had 28 premiums just like they did the sunday before. Stood outside for 3 minutes, waited in line inside after I got my ticket for about 45 minutes and got it home about an hour later. SO EASY, don't worry those who don't have them, it will be even easier in the very near future. GOOD LUCK!
