Shipping this week: return of rawk edition
It's one of those weeks. Yes, we know there are plenty of games releasing this week -- quite a few in fact -- but this is one of those weeks with a banner game. Of course, we're talking about Guitar Hero III. Chances are, if you want this game, you picked it up over the weekend and have been rocking faces off for hours now. For those of you that have other interests, here's a list of the games releasing this week that aren't Guitar Hero III.

Ubisoft dates its winter titles
It's been said by many people for months now: 2007 looks to be a big year for gamers. It seems like every company is pulling out all the stops and quality games are getting ready to rain from the heavens. Some say that 2007 may be the best year EVAR. True or not, Ubisoft is playing a large role in the 360's holiday season. As proof of that, Eurogamer has unveiled Ubisoft's official release list for this holiday season, including planned release dates for major titles like Assassin's Creed and Splinter Cell Conviction. Ubisoft confirms Naruto on 360
Continuing today's plethora of Japanese-related Xbox
360 announcements, Ubisoft has confirmed another title (in addition to Rayman 4) that was
present on last month's leaked
release schedule: Naruto. Nothing has been revealed about the title, except that it's based on the "ridiculously popular" anime/manga series, that it's coming to the Xbox 360, and it's being developed outside Japan. The Naruto video games have been mostly fighters and brawlers released in Japan; Gamecube and GBA titles just recently made their North American debuts. We're guessing the mystery RPG we theorized could be Naruto is actually going to be the unnamed Tri-Ace title reported earlier.

Mystery 360 RPG = Naruto?
Using the ancient and mysterious powers of
"deduction," loyal reader (and Fanboy blogeague) Ludwig has
managed to piece together a pretty convincing guess as to the identity of the mystery RPG coming to 360.
The leaked Ubisoft release
schedule included a Naruto game; Naruto is a popular Japanese anime/manga
series that even spawned several video games, While the previous Naruto games have all been fighting games, the series is ripe for RPG-ification (just check out that convoluted storyline, a staple of all JRPGs!). And we all know better than to trust Ubisoft's obligatory boilerplate denial. What says you, Xbox 360 ownin' JRPG fans?
