In our continuing effort to bring you fresh and interesting content, X3F presents Would You Rather ... a weekly feature that asks you the hard questions. The point? If you had to choose one or the other, which would you go for?
Grand Theft Auto IV. Maybe you've heard of it. The title that has the gaming world in a frenzy is days away and we've decided to pull a WUR out of our hat in celebration. Read this one carefully.
Let's say for the first 24 hours you owned Grand Theft Auto IV you were only able to play either single-player or multiplayer. Which one would you spend that first day with? Enough of this "neither" or "both" nonsense kids, we're going for broke. Which one is captivating your attention in that first 24 hours?
Feel free to share the reasons for your vote in the comments. We'll share the results of the poll during the next edition of Would You Rather ... which hits X3F every Wednesday.
Last weeks WUR results can be find after the jump ... hop to it!

Last week. Well, look at it. No contest. While most people agree they'd rather do neither, the majority of the readers who entered the poll decided that cycling through marketing programs was the lesser of two evils when it came to grabbing new weapons for Battlefield: Bad Company. We didn't vote, we forgot to register at our nearest polling station!

Multiplayer first! I guess i just love the social aspect of games! But when baby and wife are sleeping and I have to be quite, i'll be completing the single player.

You know, I am obviously amped to play GTA in single-player, but I read about the multiplayer over on IGN and there's a free-roam mode. Frankly, I'd love to explore the city with my buddies and say to each other "dude c'mere, it's the (insert neat NY analog here)". I'll probably divide my time between the two.

Hmm...
Experience a well-written, multi-tiered story that was crafter to focus on me as a player, or allow 12-year-old racist assholes with foul mouths and few brains to scream at me over the Internet..?
Hmm...
Gee, Bob, I'll take door #1.

Single-player easy. Multiplayer is a nice touch, but I would not even use it as a bullet point for why I am buying the game.

I don't see why this matters. Gears of War was built as a single player game from the ground up, with the multiplayer being tacked on at the last minute (and nearly left off entirely). Yet, it was the multiplayer that made the game a hit (and it was still the #3 most played game on Live last week despite being a year and a half old).
From all the reviews and impressions of this game so far the multiplayer looks epic. It's certainly not something that was thrown in at the last second without any time or effort, and was probably the largest part of the development cycle.
