WoW players: we have all your patch 2.4 news!

Patiently awaiting huge GDC 2008 announcements

All of the GDC 2008 coverage you've seen here at X3F or over at Joystiq these past few days has been quite minimal. Not so much in content, but minimal because there hasn't been any earth-breaking or ground-shattering announcements. The reason for this is rather simple. The meat and potatoes of GDC08 has yet to be served.

Tomorrow (Wednesday) is the day when all the big developers and publishers announce what needs to be announced, reveal what needs to be revealed and talk about things that need to be talked about. More to the point, Microsoft is holding their GDC08 press conference Wednesday afternoon at 1:30PM eastern and if there's going to be any HUGE 360 news coming out of GDC, this is when we'll know about it.

Keep an eye over on the official GDC08 coverage site at Xbox.com, keep your browser pointed to X3F (GDC08) and wish upon every star that there's a juicy Xbox 360 announcement that we can bit into tomorrow. If all else fails, we always have that mysterious XNA curtain revealing. That's exciting ... right?

Maybe some Netflix/IPTV on Xbox Live? Or maybe some GoW2 demos? Or maybe something that will actually blow my mind? (my guess is no, it is a show for game developers after all, not us gamers wishing for jaw dropping news). But, there is always hope.

MS needs to announce some kind of exclusive games besides Left for Dead because the Sony exclusives are looking a lot better at the moment.

No they aren't.

Alan Wake, Halo Wars, Too Human, Fable 2, Ninja Gaiden II, Banjo Kazooie 3, Gears of War 2, and there are even a few arcade games. And these are just the exclusive big releases, there are also the multiplatform ones.

LOL, flameofdoom666, isn't it completely subjective? I mean, I'm on your side, actually. Nothing is compelling me to spend the cash on a PS3, but some have different values in their experiences.

Halo Wars?halo is kind of old now and over used... Too Human is going to be good, Fable 2 they have 2 final fantasys coming out which are suppose to look as good as a movie, Ninja Gaiden II they have ninja gaiden sigma, Banjo Kazooie 3 is a kids game, Gears of War 2 is going to rock but then they have killzone 2 which looks suberb....they also have socom confrontation and 3(i loved socom), the agency, god of war 3, grand turismo, METAL GEAR SOLID4, RESISTANCE 2 and tekken.....so i would say the ps3 does have a better lineup.... i own both systems just cause of the problems of exclusives!!!! yay=]

I'm not expecting anything major from the conference. I'm sure we'll hear a few new things, but GDC is rarely the place this sort of stuff is done at.

Microsoft has always been known to announce its stuff here. They do it for the reason being that its what you all stated. They know they can shine here because other companys think like that. The other companys think "its a developers conference" why make a big announcement here?

This is where microsoft likes to shine and own the show.

the original xbox was first announced here as well as the 360.

Mabey Microsoft will announce a better product and a working customer service. Stay away from the 360.
