[Update: It looks like Scar was banned merely for having the epsilon. Apparently the epsilon was leaked to many more people than intended, resulting in many bannings, including Scar. You can read what is allegedly Scar's response on Xboxic here.]Remember all the lovely Halo 3 epsilon leakage that began a few weeks ago? Many people were quick to point out that the epsilon players leaking the footage would soon find themselves banned from Xbox Live. It looks like that was definitely the case, as a person with the gamertag "Scar" can definitely attest. As you can see in the image at right, Scar has been banned for a considerable amount of time, until December 31st, 9999 to be specific. We hate to seem redundant, but that is one hell of a ban. This guy won't be playing Xbox Live until the year 10,000. Honestly, if the Xbox 360 is still around by then, we will be mightily impressed (and also probably dead).
Our condolences Scar. Hopefully you'll feel better when Halo 3 comes out and you can play some 4-player co-op on Xbox Li... ooh, sorry.

Scar is a good friend of mine. He did not have anything to do with stealing the kid's account,or leaking it, whatever you idiots say.
He got it from a guy, who got it from a guy, who got it from a guy. Yes, I know the whole chain, I'm not saying any names.
All you stupid noobs are mad because he got to play it, and you would take it in the ass to play it.
And the year "9999" banning is not true. The longest a gamertag can be banned for is a month. Call MS and ask yourself.
So all I have to say, is "Get owned." Get your facts straight, idiots.

Not true. A ban that goes into effect is based on the consoles serial #, Xbox Live Account, etc. His current box will not be able to get one even if he changes the account.

This is wrong news. I know Scar and he is not a Microsoft or Bungie employee, and was not the one to leak the Epsilon to the public. He was also not the person who had the live feed of the Epsilon on the internet. First off, he got it from someone else (who is also banned). As for the person who gave it to Scar, I do not know how he got it, and I don't think anyone else knows.
There aren't a lot of people who know who the other person is. Mainly because this whole leaked Epsilon thing wasn't known until these bannings occurred. I suggest you edit your story since it is incorrect.
And don't ask me for the name of the person who gave it to Scar, I'm not bringing someone else into this.
