That's right, you've known about it for a while and now you have a thirty minute wait until Infinity Ward opens up the flood gates on registration into the Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare multiplayer beta to United States Xbox Live members. Today, at 12:00PM pacific (3:00PM eastern) simply head on over to the official CoD 4 website, answer three trivia questions correctly, sign up for the multiplayer beta and get your redemption code. But be warned, Infinity Ward has made it clear that the codes will be given out on a first come first serve basis, so you can almost expect their hosting servers to start on fire and people to get really, really angry. But not you, because you're in the know and already have the beta page open and are ready to sign up in a split second. Remember, today's beta sign up is for US residents only with other countries making it into the beta later on ... but not today. Good luck everyone, make us proud and get those CoD 4 multiplayer beta codes!Update 1: Sorry everyone ... all those CoD 4 beta tokens are already gone. Stupid servers crashed and we never got to register, but we just received image confirmation that the fun is over. We call shenanigans!

Well... I'm glad i took a break from work to try and get in just to waste 10 minutes of my life looking at a SQL error or a time out error.

All of you people acting like they owed something to you, and saying you aren't going to buy the game because of this, are the exact people who should not be BETA testing.
It's call the fu**ing internet people, it doesn't matter how bad a** your server is, how big your pipe is, how awesome your website code is. When a ton of people hit a site all at once, there is nothing that can be done with the current architecture to avoid this.
If you don't understand that, and are whining about not getting in a FREE BETA, then you lack the mental capacity to make sound decisions in a BETA test. The BETA will be better without you.

I know how you guys feel. I just spent the last 36 minutes trying to help my bro get into the beta. He's a huge call of duty fanboy and IW did really mess up trying to give out the tokens.

Your right it is a free beta and IW does not owe anyone shit. But it would have been nice if they didn't hype this up to only give away 3 tokens or whatever the small amount was. Everyone will buy the game anyways but why not just do the lottery and not waste peoples time sitting by the F'n computer pressing F5?

#86 they do owe us something, if it wasn't for us, the consumer, they would not have jobs making video games. they should at least give everyone who is a member of charlieoscardelta.com a token, if not, just put it on xbl marketplace NOW!!!

I will agree with you on that x silence x. A better way would be to have a COD3 tourney or something, and the winners get in. Or even, have a tourney, and then they randomly pick people who entered that tourney, etc.
There is no real good way to do a first come first served BETA invite system. I have never seen one go properly, or even close.

No, as a consumer, they owe you to make a good quality game. I know this won't go over well, but in all honesty, fanboys don't make the best BETA testers. The reason is, when a game like this is at the BETA stage, they are not going to make sweeping gameplay changes. A lot of times players ask for massive changes. ALPHA would cover more major changes, but a BETA is for bug fixes and final tweaking of online balance issues in this case.
I am not saying there is anything wrong with being a fanboy. You are right, you guys are the ones that will buy the game, every expansion/map pack, etc, and they owe you a good game. I am just saying sometimes more casual players who are able to see the game unbiased, will probably find more non-gameplay issues, such as bugs.
