Last week we showcased a how to guide to turn your white 360 controller into a dark black beauty. And once again, someone has taken it to the next level. Cruising Flickr we came across brienw's fully blackened Xbox 360 (voided warranty included) using the same vinyl-die-paint used for the controller customization. He also posted a step by step picture tutorial at the beginning of his photostream, so you can see how he completed it. Remember, your warranty will be nullified and if you suck at spray painting ... then you just screwed up your 360. No pressure or anything, but black is sexy.
It's so dark, 100% custom black 360

I think it's sloppy ... Lots of white left like inside the rims of the vent holes or around the IR reciever

Who would do this when a replacement case is only fifty bucks and then you have your old white case in case you have to send it in for warranty service.

I'm planning on making mine black this weekend.
I bought 4 cans of plastikote...He did a great job on taping off the power ring(& power logo)...props.
I never new the memory card doors came off...thanks for the heads upp.
I painted a controller black last weekend...it turned out pretty good, some minor imperfections...but it was done from my own stupidity.
BTW, Bearxor - You win the award for dumbest post of the day...CONGRATULATIONS!!!
(the warranty voids if you remove the casing)

You can already buy complete replacement cases for your 360, including a black one.

Because it voids your warranty when you open it and remove the old case....I have a modded black xbox with green LED. I didn't care about the warranty because it was only 3 months at the time and I wasn't going to get the extended one.

looks better in white. What a dumb thing to do.
Heck even the modded PS3 that someone painted white is going for $3k. Be smart, leave your 360 white.

I'd rather spray my Xbox 1 white so it matches my 360.

karask - yes the white PS3 sold for big bucks...it wasn't because white looks fantabulous, it was because it looks different. People dont want the same thing everyone else has in the same color.
Or perhaps they want it to match the rest of the electronics on their AV rack.
I think it looks damn good in black.
And for those of who talking about the replacements cases...well, those are $50...while to do it yourself is under $20. Plus the replacment cases are cheaper quality, and they dont have a textured finish...their shiny...shiny electronics are gay.
