Yesterday we mentioned that an new franchise was to be announced for XBLA sometime during all this TGS/X06 hullballoo. We even asked all of you for your best guess. Well, it looks like we got our anwer sooner rather than later, and the answer will most likely be a disappointment to many. In total, four new franchises have been announced, and they are:- Gyruss
- New Rally-X
- Rush'n Attack
- Yie Ar Kung Fu (Japan only)
360 at the Tokyo Game Show:
Today's TGS Marketplace content
HD-DVD for $170, $250 Core w/ Blue Dragon
1080p for 360!

That can't be it, none of those belong in any "major franchise".

Concidering how the press release made it sound like it would be made available for download and that it would happen between the 20-29th, I figured it meant that it would be available the 27th (next wednessday) as that's the first day of X06 (remember that the press release was about both TGS and X06)

Completely uninterested in any of those, except maybe Rush'n Attack out of Cold War nostalgia. Ahh, the good old days.

Wow, big disappointment. I was hoping for a bigger, better game than this. Oh well, back to Geowars I s'pose. :P

Lol! I'll accept that award. Guess it's back to hunting around craigslist for one of the arcade cabs... You have to admit though... between rumble roses and doax, it wouldn't be _entirely_ out of place on the 360. ;)
Aaaand, because this is the internet, I should note that the above is tounge in cheek. :P
My question is... when are we going to start seeing arcade hits from the early 90's? Where are Streets of Rage/Punisher/TMNT/etc?!
