Interesting. Very interesting. When it was first revealed via the ESRB that XBLA would be seeing a version of Samurai Shodown II, it was absolutely good news. This time the ESRB revealed that the original, Samurai Shodown, will be coming to XBLA as well. Given that XBLA has seen original games and sequels released separately, this likely means that both Samurai Shodown games will get separate release, but we can certainly hope in vain for some sort of compilation and upgrade, can't we?

They'll either release the original first and guarantee a few sales to the die-hards looking forward to fight online in the vastly superior sequel...
Or, release the vastly superior sequel first / same time and not rake in a single cent from the original because II is a vastly superior sequel. Doesn't make cents / sense either way.
The Last Blade 2, please SNK Playmore?

That and Garou. They're taking too long with the games I would buy right away (assuming they get online play and are 400 points, anyway lol)

probably the vastly superior sequel... "Samurai Shodown II", based on title alone, is 99.9999% likely to be the sequel (based on chronological release date, and the numeral in the title as previously stated) to the original Samurai Shodown. Which, incidentally, is titled "Samurai Shodown."
Also, hell yes to Mark of the Wolves. I long to revive my lost Freeman whoopassidness. Thankfully Gato has had some fair treatment in recent KOF :)

Well i do love Samurai Shodown. and if they just filtered the graphics like they did in castlevania i would be happy, but redone sprites would be UNfreakingBELIEVABLE

"Samurai Showdown Online Battle Collection for XBLA: Part 1: SS 1 & 2!": 800 points
...... It's almost as long as a Capcom game title, it'd be 2 games for the price of 1 new one, and... it's about the only way I could see them both being released as making any kind of sense.
Really, is there ANY good reason why collections aren't made for XBLA? Especially now, with the size increase.

There is no point in having more head-to-head fighting games on the Xbox 360 unless it gets
a.) a Head-to-Head fighter friendly controler. Or..
b.) a wired/wireless Joystick that is good (that cheap/Expensive hori one does not count).
I'm a 360 fanboy but the 360 gmaepad is great for all games except for head to head fighters. because of this I will get a Ps3 when SFIV comes out as well as the SSF2 Turbo remix HD BJ whatever comes out. At least I can use my Xarcade on the ps3. I really really wish M$ would allow x arcade to make a usb adapter for the 360.

I couldn't agree more. I finally finished my X-Arcade stick last fall, and I can't even use it on 360. It's just disappointing when you consider that it has some great competitive fighting games both available and on the horizon. I've already told my LIVE buddies to count me out for SoulCalibur IV :(
I probably won't switch my future purchases to PS3 (99% of online gaming friends are on LIVE), but I know I won't get them day one until someone builds a solid arcade stick or licenses X-Arcade to make an adapter.
I don't know how they managed to muck up 360's d-pad so bad. It's the same style as the original Xbox, and that worked fairly well for both 2D and 3D fighters IMO.

Wow, a World Heroes request! AMAZING! You prefer the original, or maybe World Heroes Perfect?
Rasputin's "Garden of Love" would be the strangest thing EVER to hit XBLA!

Oh please! Crawl from under your rocks already. Hori, Madcatz, Intec, Joytech. There's a couple of 3rd party companies that provide gamepad controllers you could get for the 360, so what's with all the whining? I have the hori ex turbo, and it has a solid snes style d-pad. Lost count of all the ass I've whooped in Fatal Fury Special on xbla. And what we need is a KOF game on xbla. I'd love to see KOF'98 or '99, but I'd be grateful for any game of the series. SS and SS2 play too similarly. Should've given us 2 with 3, 4, or 5, since the later games play nothing like the first two.
