Vision Cam video review

Live and let dry: Hang your dirty laundry at GreenDaily.com

SquadXP.com has an in-depth video review of the Vision Camera's dashboard interface. They note two missing features: 4-way chat and the ability to save pictures to the hard drive. I would add making the video chat window full screen, but that's what dash updates are for, right? These guys don't demonstrate the "vibrate the other dude's controller" capability, which is probably a good thing. Personally, I'd buy it just for the trippy water effect.

Check out Gamasutra for some detail on the really interesting stuff like the DigiMask facial mapping soon to be displayed in
World Series of Poker: Tournament of Champions.

Anybody else who managed to get their hands on a Vision, please give us your first impressions.

2. I snagged one from my local Toys R US and I friggn love this cam. It's not 100% perfect, but a lot of people are going to enjoy this. Easy to use and I think with some fun interactive games and intergrated use in AAA titles MS has got something neat here. I've enjoyed my Sony eyetoy and look forward to the PSP add on as well...I think MS just has a better put together package so far.

3. Microsoft sent me one, the 2nd week of August (because I am an MVP)

It is very cool, and adds that new feature to online gaming. I have seen it in action with Uno, video chat, and have seen it to use (and used it myself) with World Series Poker by Activison. It is definetly cool, and the quality is amazing.

4. I've had one for about 2 weeks now. Its fun to mess around with, but needs something other than UNO to support it soon or I'll grow bored. The cam itself works nicely. There are occasionally times when not everyone in a game can see me and there seems to no rhyme or reason for it. For 40 bucks, I don't have a hard time recommending it, but it at this point its pretty limited in terms of support.

5. yeah where the hell are the games that support it at. i bought the thing to use with interactive games and it would be nice to add our face to a character in games, especially sports. i sure hope there are some games coming soon.

6. Seeing as how the thing isn't officially released until the 19th, I'm not too worried about games that support it right now. We've got World Series Poker, Rainbow Six: Vegas as well as Totem Ball, Uno and Texas Hold Em and that's just for starters. I'll be picking one up for sure, why not!?
