Gamasutra has posted the 10 most requested games from Gamefly this week, and the list leans heavily toward our favorite curvy, white box. A full five of the top spots are occupied by 360 exclusives (six if you count the 360 version of
BFMEII). Xboxic has gone to the trouble of making a numbered list, which I will politely
steal utilize:
- Chromehounds (360 exclusive)
- Prey (360/PC)
- Over G Fighters (360 exclusive)
- LotR: Battle for Middle Earth 2 (360 version)
- Dead Rising (360 exclusive)
- NCAA Football 2007 (multi)
- Hitman: Blood Money (multi)
- Naruto: Ultimate Ninja (PS2)
- Gears of War (360 exclusive)
- Call of Duty 3 (PC/next-gen)
Look at that list for a second. Notice anything? That's right, four 360 exclusives that haven't even been
released --
Chromehounds, Prey, Dead Rising, and
Gears of War -- are in the top 10. That means these games are more requested than games people could actually be playing right now. Crazy, no?

Too bad I tried Gamefly's 10 day free trial, and they shipped 2 games exactly a week ago and I havent received them yet. So its awesome that I will hopefully recieve them on Monday (day 11 of my free trial) just to send them back along with a "your service sucks balls" note attached.

It's not that crazy, if you consider how gamefly works...
For instance, at the top of my queue, I have nothing but unreleased titles, in chronological order. I have them as place holders, and I'll get them right away when they do come out (and I send a game back in).
While at the bottom of my list, I have a smattering of games I'd like to play if I catch up on the new releases.
But that means I have several games at the top of my list that haven't been released yet. I'd assume this is true for a lot of people.
Besides, already-released games suffer heavily in this ranking system, as after people play the game, it drops off their list.

I really liked the idea but all the peopl I talk to just abuse it for gamerscore. It really makes me angry to see some one not enjoying the game rather than to get the achievements.

You can also buy used games with a Gamefly account. Just keep the game and a couple days later, they send you the case and booklet. Only real problem is that the only 360 games for sale for the past couple months are The Outfit and Full Auto.

If you are a member and rent out a game they will sell you the 360 new releases for a little over $45. I Recently bought Tomb Raider and Hitman after receiving them as rentals shortly after their release for $46-$47 brand new.
I also bought condemned after recieving it as a rental on Monday and with my $5 coupon I earned and 5% off It came to $25 all with free shipping.

Gamefly is looking like a better option these days since Blockbuster rapes you for renting a game, beside their selection sucks and they never have enough copies...

Why rent the game if there is a demo download available on Live? I downloaded both The Outfit (waste of download time) and PGR3 (confirmed I don't like racing games) and never had to go farther than that. This weekend, I'll try the Prey demo.

Gamefly delivery times suck for the East Coast.
Check out gottaplay or rentzero on the right side of the continent.
