Auditory pleasure. The feeling one gets when listening to music that moves their inner soul and evokes emotions to the highest degree. It's the feeling one gets when listening to the harmonious melodies from Halo 3 or Mass Effect.Releasing to the retail arena tomorrow, November 20th are both the 31 track Halo 3 soundtrack and (just in time for launch) the 37 track Mass Effect soundtrack too. Both CDs are being released under the Sumthing Distribution label (the folks who put together Gears of War and Halo 2's soundtracks) and should cost around the average CD price of $14 or so. Auditory pleasure, it's what you'll get when you buy either of these musically enjoyable soundtracks.

Gears fanboys will be excited to know that the sweet, sweet sounds of our beloved Gears of War will soon be lovingly lasered onto a piece of media plastic. The official Gears of War Soundtrack was announced yesterday and will hit major retailers and be available online July 31st. The CD will feature 28 musical tracks that will chronologically take listeners through Gears' campaign and feature the Northwest Symphonia orchestra. Think of the soundtrack as a musical version of the whole "destroyed beauty" motif. Complete list of all 28 tracks are viewable after the break including our favorites "I Will Kryll You" and "Running With Boomers".
Ok, so nobody outside of my oft-ignored home state cares about this, but local Delaware band OmniSoul made the soundtrack for Madden '07 with their stadium-friendly track, "Not Giving Up." Just another notch on the First State's belt next to scrapple, Ryan Phillipe and tax free shopping.
I heard you got the fever for the flavor ... of THQ's licensed music. Here's the full list of the songs you'll do drive-bys to Saints Row, including such classics as Wagner's Twilight of the Gods and Seventeen by Winger. There's alot of obscure stuff here -- maybe too obscure -- and it lacks a cohesive theme like Vice City and San Andreas. However, I can tell you that the Black Sheep track that opens up the demo brought back some cherished white suburban wannabe rapper memories.
Viewers of the American Armed Forces Network in Spain report that the majestic melodies from Halo and Halo 2 being used as background music in commercials showcasing various jobs in the U.S. Military. Nice to know the Master Chief is doing his patriotic duty.
