Grab your free Frontlines 'Bonyeard' DLC

If you are still playing Frontlines: Fuel of War's online multiplayer then we're going to have to label you as both "committed" and "obsessed". So, this post is for those fanboys, because they'll probably be the only ones using this nugget of DLC info to get their download on.

Available for FREE as a download off the XBLM is a new Frontlines Boneyard Map which is said to include "never before seen Automatic Shotgun, Rocket Jeep and Red Star Transport Helicopter" and "Shilnaya Balka missile silos" ... fun! This is the first of five (possibly free?) Frontlines multilpayer maps, so keep your eyes peeled for more DLC in the near future. That is if you're one of those "committed" or "obsessed" Frontlines fanboys.

Alone in the Dark demo still MIA, still coming

Your memory isn't failing you, way back in April Atari did promise to release an Alone in the Dark demo to the XBLM by the end of May. Thus far, we still haven't seen it even though the game hits retailers this week. But fear not, you can still safely hold out hope for an Alone in the Dark demo, because Atari has re-confirmed with Eurogamer that they still plan on releasing the demo in the "coming weeks". Honestly, we were excited to try the demo simply because we thought it would release prior to the game's official release, since then our demo excitement level has decreased a bit. We also don't know if we should trust Atari's word anymore, so we'll just have to wait and see if their latest promise ends up being fulfilled in the next few weeks.

Weezer and Pixies' 'Doolittle' DLC release to Rock Band next Tuesday [update]

Update: Looks like on top of the Pixies DLC we'll also be getting a Weezer Track Pack next week, featuring songs from their latest album including "Dreamin'", "Troublemaker" and the freakin' amazing song "The Greatest Man That Ever Lived". 440 MS points for the pack or 160 MS points for each song. And because "The Greatest Man That Ever Lived" is so freakin' amazing, we've embedded it above. Enjoy!

Today is Rock Band DLC announcement Friday and what an unsurprising DLC announcement Friday it is. Actually, Harmonix didn't even have to announce next week's DLC today, because we already knew about it thanks to IGN's release date mishap that went down earlier this week. So, this is more of a DLC reminder. Ahem, next Tuesday, June 24th the Pixies' Doolittle album will release as Rock Band DLC in its entirety, fourteen tracks all for 1520 Microsoft points or individually for 160 points each. View the complete Doolittle DLC list after the break.

So, this being a reminder, you can go and get your Coldplay DLC purchase on if you so choose. Also, seeing that this is probably going to be our last post talking about Coldplay, we feel the need to sneak in their Apple iTunes commercial. We thoroughly enjoy the purple and blue smoke that emits from the band as they play ... it's freakin' b-e-a-utiful!

Spyro and Guilty Gear Originals now available

Hopefully you are prepared (we did give you enough of an advance warning), because today it's time for another amazing Xbox Originals release! Celebratory vanilla cake and party poppers for all! And this week's Xbox Originals are none other than Arc System Works' Guilty Gear X2 #Reloaded and Krome Studios' The Legend of Spyro: A New Beginning. Rock Band dusted with Pixies 'Doolittle' album DLC [update 2]

Update 2: We didn't misread the article, those sly IGN foxes ninja changed the DLC's release date on their article. Proof that they initially reported June 17th. Those sly foxes ...

We misread IGN's article, the "Doolittle" album DLC will be available in two weeks on June 24th.

Beating Harmonix to the weekly Rock Band DLC announcement punch, IGN is reporting that on Tuesday, June 17th June 24th some pixified complete album DLC will be making its way to the XBLM. More specifically, the Pixies' 1989 "Doolittle" album will be available as Rock Band DLC next week, featuring fourteen tracks (listed after the break) all for purchase as an album for 1520 Microsoft points ($19) or individually for 160 points ($2) per track. We already enjoy jamming to "Wave of Mutilation", so we can only hope more Pixies DLC will equal more enjoyable Rock Band funnery. All fourteen new "Doolittle" DLC tracks listed after the break.

[Thanks, StLouisRibs7734]
