There are two really notable things about the games releasing this week. One, you may recall that
Tales of Vesperia was the game that single-handedly caused the Xbox 360 to
sell out completely in Japan. Somehow, we doubt the game will have quite the same impact in North America (regardless of its quality). Two, after over two frakking years,
Castle Crashers is finally landing on
Xbox Live Arcade. Our anticipation around here is
palpable. Perhaps you've
noticed. Also releasing this week is
Tiger Woods 09. We're not sure exactly what's notable aboout that unless, of course, the
Jesus shot makes a return.

Does anyone think Infinite Undiscovery will do the same as Tales in Japan? Or is that hoping too much....

I think it is likely. They love them some rpg, and they love them some Square Enix over there.
I think microsoft should be proud of their penetration into that market.
If only people around here thought of microsoft as the USA based company who's profits benefit our country as apposed to Sony who's profits benefit japan. We just arent that kind of consumer I guess.

Tales of Vesperia out this week?! YESSSS! I loved the demo of this as seemed to take the great stuff from Blue Dragon and Lost Odyssey and remove all the crap parts. Too bad I'm moving across the country on Friday...

Behemoth should rent out a castle and then crash it.

Expensive week- I've been waiting for Tiger and Crashers for a long time now.
Lately 360 demos have been pretty disappointing, so I was pleasantly surprised when I started having fun with 09 demo right off the bat. Can't wait to pick it up.

After the mild disappointment that was Schizoid, I'm taking X3F's portions of hype with a grain of salt. As ever, I'll check out the demo of Castle Crashers.
As for Tales of Vesperia - I couldn't stand the atrocious voice-acting in the demo, and I turned it off after 5 minutes. However, I'm loving Lost Odyssey ATM, and will need a new RPG fix once I'm done with that. If I can stetch out the last disc of Odyssey, and fill the gap with Oblivion, then Fallout 3 will probably keep my RPG addiciton fuelled well into the new year.

I'm surprised that the 360 is now selling like what? 7k units instead of 2k? That's not bad.. considering the PS3 is only about 3k ahead in Japan.. hopefully though the 360 will pick up a bit more steam. Prob. is.. none of the consoles sell well in Japan.. (except for Wii, lolz)
