OXM posted photographic proof of old review code from Avatar showcasing some twenty achievements that could only be unlocked by completing levels, performing combos, etc. You know, traditional achievement unlocking stuff. But what happened to these achievements? Nobody is sure, but we don't think anyone really cares. An easy 1000 Gamerscore is the best thing that ever happened to Avatar and its rental sales.

they obviously realised that the game sucked & the only way to gain sales was to appeal to all the Gamerscore whores.
wonder what the sales figures were :)

The real way to tell achievement whores is if they have played this game. I am proud that I haven't.

yeah. I wont accept a friends request from anybody who has palyed this game. Its actually a good way to determine the douchbags out there. I would be absolutly ashamed to have this game on my gamercard.

According to your definition, I am a douche bag. And guess what? I'm OK with that. I don't accept friends requests from people who think they're better than everyone else so don't even try to send me one.

You didn't read my post? I would never send you a FR, even if you paid me. You waste your time playing crappy games for points. GTFO

What I'm saying is I don't give a shit that you don't want to be my friend because you seem to think that being on your friends list is some kind of privilege that you have to qualify for.

Now your putting words in my mouth. You dont need to be special to be on my friends list, Any1 can send me a FR and ill accept if we play the same games. I just dont want idiots on it. And people who play this avatar game fall in that category.

I read the article wrong. I thought this was a new game.
The point still stands that no one would've played it had it achievements like that...

Comments have been kinda wonky the last couple of weeks. I've noticed this on TV Squad as well, anybody else notice?

I've noticed comments that I previously read just not showing up when I return. Typically when the comment is first posted though, after a timespan of about 5 minutes it tends to be fine.

A lot of wicked awesome condescending attitudes on these comments (minus a couple of course).
I guess folks can't play a licensed game because they...say...enjoy the license. They must immediately be douchebags or achievement whores.
Thumbs up 360 community. Mighty high thumbs up.

The game pictured and the infamously easy 1000 Gamer Points game are two different games... one called Avatar : The Last Airbender (pictured) and the other Avatar: The Burning Earth (which has achievements that can be gained in like 5 minutes).
So... this story is basically false (it wasn't always the case that Avatar games had easy achievements but there are two Avatar games).

... forgive the double post but this is probably the worst story ever. Not only is the post factually inaccurate but the commenters didn't even read the factually inaccurate post close enough to get the basic premise of the post.

Actually, Avatar: The Last Airbender did not release onto the Xbox 360 (it did on the original Xbox) and so Avatar: The Last Airbender - The Burning Earth is the only Avatar game on the 360 with achievements. Sometimes we and other sites (for the sake of shortening up the name, etc.) refer to it simply as The Last Airbender. So, this achievement mystery is just that, still a mystery.

Unless there is another Avatar game in development that I don't know about there is only one Avatar game called "Avatar The Last Airbender: The Burning Earth" and this game has 5 achievements worth 1000 gamerscore. The name at the top of the screenshot is the same name I have in my gamercard (the game I have 1000/1000 gamerscore on.)
So, unless I'm missing something major here, your comment is probably the worst comment ever.

while his comment was shockingly incorrect, it's far from the worst comment ever.
