Haven't been able to get back on since the Live down time. It acts like you get connected but, when you go to pwn the n00bs on COD it says "you must be connected to Xbox Live to play a multiplayer game". Same thing everytime. So fun.

Is anyone experiencing some guide lag? Over the last few days my guide has been very slow to respond to close after opening it. Even sometimes when trying to send a message or look at friends there has been massive lag. I never noticed the problem until this week.

Actually I forgot to mention, I have an Elite and I can't seem to 'load' the dashboard either. Periodically I can see the "friends online" notice but I can't really do anything else (such as play some stress relieving COD4).

I played a great game of CoD4, then got booted off Live. Now my console passes all the tests, and I can connect for like 2 seconds to see my friend list, and then it goes back to being disconnected. Bummer, as I have a free day finally.

Heres the skinny for those of you getting disconnected and having problems getting the dashboard to load:
I was having the same issues as of the scheduled maintainance . On a lark I decided to try connecting the 360 directly to my modem. It works flawlessly.
It would appear that something they did on their side has broken connnectivity with some routers. Not all apparantly. I have friends at work connecting fine router and all.

That would have to do more with port issues, but seeing as my Xbox's IP is set to the DMV it's basically the same as connecting it directly to the modem.
Still havin' some problems though. =(

my 360 is already connected to my modem and still has problems with dashboard, i log in then it says i have to connect then logs back in when game loads but i cant play online

umm... I was on xbox live day yesterday, from 2 - midnight carrying over into today. So has expected no problems today.

xbox live hasn't been working for me since the maintenance. When i turn on 360 i sign in normally but the xbox live blade says i still need to connect. i cannot play any game online. when i am on halo it signs me in again but i cannot play any ranked matches, and yes i am still a gold member ive checked.
can someone please reply to me and tell me what is going on, it would be VERY MUCH appreciated.

all i know is i REALLY am pissed this time. other times it was just kinda anoying.
but i have worked solid for the past 2 weeks. nice 8 - 10 hour shifts, and wanted to play some online games on my new ELITE 360.
and no online whatsoever just sucks......
and they cant fix this 3 days later? can't they release a new update to kill the maintance they did monday?

Was playing COD4 this evening with no problems, then took a break and left the game running. When I got back everything was messed up...connection issues, dashboard lag, that "must be connected to Live to play Xbox Live matches" message, etc. I just turned it off.

Was working fine this morning. Now though, not so much.
Mostly I can't even get a connection on to LIVE. If I do, I can talk to friends but trying to play a game over LIVE doesn't work. Particularly was trying to invite a friend into COD4 and the invites would send or receive to/from me. Then I would just get disconnected from LIVE.
The official update on xboxlive.com says they are aware of the problem that some may have matchmaking difficulties or can not sign into xbox live.
These things happen, not complaining, just saying that the issues are happening though and are still out there as of now.

Live is down and has a lot of errors when connecting. Say I'm connected when I'm not and viceversa, chat is on but sound is awful. This is happening to me and also a copule of people I know in south america.

as of exactly midnight (weird) i have full xbox live working again, so they fixed some part of it. now i have to go to sleep, so thanks for 2 days of nothing.
i actually had to enjoy the weather outdoors!! >:)

Red rings of death, connection problems up the wahzoo especially with Cod4 and Microsoft charges you for EVERYTHING extra. You can't even throw the fans a bone every ONCE in a while when you sold them a product you KNOW would have to be repaired someday cause it was flawed to begin with? I'm Done with this bull **** so I got two words for you...Playstation 3.
