One small click of your mouse, one giant leap for your planet: GreenDaily

Find those Xs, XMTS has begun

And you thought we didn't notice your 80+ comments on the previous announcement post for Microsoft's X Marks the Spot giveaway. Well, we noticed and we're just as crazy (look to the right for proof) about solving the ten daily puzzles, so feel free to use this post to discuss, help eachother and win.

But, for those who aren't familiar with the green X game, listen up. If you head on over to the X Marks the Spot giveaway page you'll be able to register (unless you have Firefox*) and start your search. Each day, for 36 days, they'll post ten daily clues that lead to various gaming or sponsor related websites. Then, on each website, you'll have to spot a word that has a green X in its spelling. That friends is the keyword that'll answer the question and give you an entry. Each entry you unlock (ten total per day) will enter you into daily, weekly and grand prize drawings, so the more you answer the more chances you'll have at winning goods. But know that every day's questions are different and can only be answered the day they are live, so there's no going back. Good luck and help eachother out, because we want a fanboy winning a new car or Dew mini fridge!

*Good eyes, but the Firefox "clue" is total bologna. We just felt like messing with your head, but nice clue spotting nonetheless.

22. There are total of 7000 people signed up. This may be a good sign. There are over 360 prizes and if the number does not go too far above that 10,000 mark we should have a good shot.

4 hours ago there was only 6445 is the number of people is not going up too much.

I think those of us who got all 10 on the first day have a good shot at picking up a mini fridge :)

23. Good job finding #11 Clayton, but seriously, where was it?

Posted at 12:37PM on Nov 6th 2007 by Swede33

24. @ThatDudeReeg - Great post

Why not post clues here, like the actual URL. Even if you hate ads, the sponsor companies are going to track visits and will want to see an increase if they are to take part in further giveaways. Don't bite the hand that feeds!

e.g: 13 is easy.. http://www.dominos.com/Public-EN/Site+Content/Primary/See+the+Menu/

The clue is in the URL as well!

Good luck everyone.

33. I found a green X on the half life site in "Alyx's". Very confusing. I would have never found the real answer if not for these comments

34. Oh, and Microsoft should use more Flash in their sites. tons more. Because it's awesome and it makes my computer work really hard.

Posted at 8:04PM on Nov 6th 2007 by Charles

35. If the answers don't seem to work, try not cut+pasting, this sometimes doesn't work. Also try looking for different answers, like yesterday for the Go Home, Guitar Hero both HarmoniX and EXpand were answers with green X's
http://www.xbox.com/en-US/games/g/guitarhero3legendsofrock/
http://www.xbox.com/en-US/games/r/rockband/

yet neither were the right answers, which was on the Guitar Hero launch site.
P.S. check the Tips Tricks area, it really helps in finding the right answer.

36. Clayton, you're the fucking man. I could've sworn 11 was Alyx or Alyx's.

Posted at 9:57PM on Nov 6th 2007 by Justice

37. ok i hate the guitar hero ones

but i need the guitar hero and panasonic

Posted at 12:35AM on Nov 7th 2007 by ant the man

38. I swear 11 was screwed up. Today when you look at the answer page, it takes you to the website we all went to, but "exited" is nowhere to be found. Since I tried everything and didn't get exited, I didn't get credit, but I'm gonna see if they won't change it. The people that got it must have been guessing right?

Posted at 12:46AM on Nov 7th 2007 by Matt

39. i started typing that i cant get 39, but i got it by guessing.

two of the answers on Day 3 are the same. I'll let you figure what they are out.

im at 30/360. :D i would have done it earlier, but i needed to shower so my brother could as well.

Posted at 1:00AM on Nov 7th 2007 by DjDATZ

40. my rank as of now is 75 out of 9483. booya.

if anyone wants the answers...you know how to get them: find my email and email me. :D

if anyone posts my email, any emails i get after that i won't bother answering.
