You're right...it doesn't have a dedicated tv off button, but then again if you press tv to switch between controlling your 360 and the tv, you can just press power and it'll shut off the tv. AMAZING! aren't you guys FANBOYS? you should know this stuff!

Play nice cee1003 I still can't figure the darn thing out. I think I'm getting too old for these new fangled electronic contraptions.
It's a great deal on a pretty good remote...if you really need one...

I use the Logitech 360 one for everything, kind of a pain to setup, but works great once it's done. cost more than $12 though :\

Dedicated.
Meaning, it doesn'e require you to switch to TV mode.
Meaning you don't forget it's on TV mode and try to control your 360 in vain.
Plus mine doesn't shut off my TV very well, it takes forever if it turns it off at all.

I just use multiple remotes... Its more fun that way. Your friend is over and you want to change setting but they are closer I just say hand my the mini mote... The smallest one... Or the big silver one. Or the xbox one... or the little stubby one... or the comcast one.... Or the PS2 one.... Also that guarentees I'm the only one messing with the remotes because they just stare in awe...

here's a hot tip from Mr. Shotgun Ninja.
Do you have directv? You already have a remote.
use the Media Center PC code on any of your available av slots and tada, instant remote.

I usea logticeh 880. Paid $99 for it (waited for a deal) and never looked back. It can emulate any functiona nd any remote. Works great. Even added 5 new functions for my reciever which were not even on my original remote control. + its alot easier just to have 1 remote lying around.

I didn't know you could use this for your TV until Major Nelson mentioned it on his show.
And I'm surprised you didn't know you can turn your TV on and off using the TV mode selector.

Or you could just buy a Logitech Harmony Remote (I suggest the 550 or the Xbox 360 equivalent that looks just like it) and be done with multiple remotes lying around your house forever.
