Major Nelson gives word that
Guitar Hero II has another track pack available on Marketplace. This time, though, it's not a rehash of
Guitar Hero I songs, but actually a band themed packed full of master tracks. Sounds too good to be true, right? Precisely, as it still costs 500 Microsoft Points, which is not
as bad for fresh content, and the band in question is My Chemical Romance. Now, we've had a couple of
rants about reader response to anything involving MCR and their 360, and expect to see more of the same here. In any case, the songs in the pack are "Famous Last Words," "This is How I Disappear," and "Teenagers." Now, remember that it's down the road, and not across the street.

HAHA, it took me way too long to understand why you wrote Tampax. As for this song pack I just don't care and unless you happen to be a MCR fan I cant see anyone else willing to pay for this. Now Im off to play some Tampax, I mean Bioshock

what a great picture.
remember kids, it's down the road, not across the tracks!
while i thought dead was a great addition to GHII, this is a little over doing it.

No, no, no... Its not down the road, or even across the street. Its across the jugular and through the spinal column. Jesus, kids these days. What pussies.

If they actually grabbed "I'm Okay (I Promise", which has a great, albeit short guitar solo, I'd be a lot happier. Still, I may pick this up, if only to get More Than a Feeling on GHII, or maybe even GHIII.

I don't get it? MCR rock IMO. These are 3 great songs. This is actually the first pack of songs I've seen that I would buy (if I owned the game).
You guys just need to open up your minds to different music. There's a lot of good stuff out there if you just let it in. Personally, I get sick of the same old songs. Especially the 70's b.s. that's all up in GH2.

what a picture! they would be doing it right though. all weeping with eyeliner and impotence, unable to follow through with anything but still giving me a good chuckle.

Great pic for sure. After I got GHII and black parade was on it, I checked out the rest of the black parade cd and have been enjoying it. I'll def. be picking this up as a I have about 1000 points in my balance right now waiting to be spent!

Dead! is the track on GH2 for 360. I don't care for the band really, but it's fun to play on there... I'd argue more so than some of the other tracks in the game.
I don't really see a problem with their inclusion. They're popular, the songs are very guitar based and, while not really difficult or complex, they're enjoyable to play. If that makes them like a boy band with no guitars at all, I am not sure what to say. Their image is obviously important to them, but as basic and crappy as it is, what do I care? lol

I don't get all the negativity. This is a great step forward for GHII. Even if you don't like the band, it is still - New Content, not old GH1 - Master Tracks - and band specific. The Black Parade album is actually pretty good, and these are some great songs. I am personally pretty excited. I will buy these..... As soon as my 360 comes back from the red ring of death afterlife.

Er...I meant Dead, not Black Parade.
Anyway, I just downloaded these and I wouldn't really recommend them. Even if you like the songs (as I do) they aren't that fun to play. Famous Last Words and This is how I Disappear both just have A LOT of repetitive notes and Teenagers doesn't really have much fun to it either. I'm kinda disappointed, but oh well!

Nice, I happen to be a fan. "Teenagers" is one of the bad songs from the album, though; at least they didn't add "House of Wolves." I went to download as soon as I read this(my first DLC for the game). During the download I had the misfortune of accidentally tipping my Xbox over. The result: My GHII disc is now unreadable. 500 MSP well spent!

Hmm,
Never heard any of these songs before. But I gotta say b4 the release of GH2 on the 360 when I got word that MCR was gonna be on it, I was not very happy. However I ended up really liking the song Dead. So maybe Ill give them a chance. But I still want a song pack in thier from GH1 with these songs.......More Than a Feeling, Sharp Dressed Man and Crossroads would be the ultimate. Also I think it is important that they just release all the bonus tracks from gh1 on 2 all at once for like 1600 points. I'd love to Fire it up, Cheat on the Church, Fly on the Wall and Even Rats.

Ooh. If you listen to MCR you're emo? Haven't heard that one before. Good job X3F, you guys are always so original. Always ahead of the curve.
I've already said what I've needed to say on Joystiq. (Hint: They're just as clever as you)

YES!!! I've always wanted them to release an MCR pack, and they did! I'm gunna try to get some M-points as soon as possible. I never thought I'd actually buy songs for GH2, but I'm gonna do it anyways, even for the rediculus(spelling error) price.
