This game is stupid. Why would money be wasted developing a game like this when they could have spent it getting the rights to publish Vandal Hearts for the arcade instead. Thats all this game is, a poor version of Vandal Hearts with stupid bugs and really annoying dialog and story....Stole our eggs? Come on man. When developers see shit like this sell they will keep making shit.

@ ccc

Heaven forbid someone actually develop an original IP these days, what were they thinking. We can never have enough ported games on the arcade.

It's not like Vandal Hearts is remotely original either. With that logic, why not just go all the way back and port over the game that started it all and ignore every thing else too.

This is an issue i see regarding XBLA.. people bitch about ports and rehashes, but come back and bitch when a new IP comes out.. make up your freaking minds people.

you gave it a shot and hated it.. okay, that's your experience. don't try and "taint the water" because it wasn't what you wanted.

It was quick and easy to get into, cute interface shows alot of info.. I didn't get to play it too long, but I had fun.

Now if they'll ever port Xcom onto the arcade, that'd be a nice addition...

I like it so far, fun stuff. I'm like nine missions into the campaign, I wonder how long the game is overall.

No worries though, map editor and online play will get me plenty of replay value I think.

I picked it up this morning before I headed out to work and I like what little I've played so far. It's easy to pick up and fun to watch. I'm a bit biased as I love strategy type games (FF:Tactics is one of my all time favorites). I'd like to see more srpg type games hit XBLA.

Once I get home I'll get into the meat of it.

Well, you know I bought it. I've only been covering it on my blog and at XBLArcade for months now. (^_^)

I think the campaign is 20 missions long. I can't remember specifically, but the later missions get a lot more difficult, especially if you're going for your gold achievement.

When I initally played this, I found it was easy to pick up but when you get further into the game you will discover that there is more depth than you realize at first.

I got to play some Spider Hunter multiplayer matches before work and I had a blast.

See you all online.

First of all I never bitch about retro games.
Secondly all I was saying is Id rather have seen Vandal Hearts, U all know its a better game, This style of game was lacking on the arcade though so at least this bug game is soothing that itch, but still, Vandal hearts please konami.

ccc - you're moaning because we have an original game instead of yet another retro re-hash? Can't please some ppl...

I played it and it seems ok. My big complaint is that the camera isn't very good -- why isn't it free-form camera? :(
