Uggghhh, do these Rooster Teeth guys have to accept every little project Bungie or Microsoft send their way? Yeah, I get it, using Halo was a pretty cool idea about 3 years ago, but it doesn't get any funnier, especially now that we're up to Halo 3.

Zunes aren't sexy and they aren't a very good "music" player. They're good for video, but for music they're way behind the iPod. iPod have a much sexier look and size plus they have iTunes. Zunes are bulky in the world of portable music players. Zunes are a portable video player first and a music player second.

that video pretty much sucked. I've always thought the majority of red vs blue videos were pretty bad except for a few parts that make you chuckle a little. I don't know about you guys, but i can show this to any other human being on earth not interested in halo (like a female) and they'd think its stupid and not even crack a smile.

Did you fail to realize that the 80gb iPod is just as phat as the Zune?
I do not like iTunes, as well as any other iLife programs.
Matter of fact, I do not own any piece of Apple products and do not plan to in the future.
My sister does, and I mostly think iPods were originally for girls.
Also, I have no idea what you mean by they are behind in music. I do not own a Zune myself but my father does, and he only has 800mbs left out of 29.7gbs due to most of his 4000+ songs and more then 4 movies and multiple random videos.
The battery, however, has a strange lifespan, some days he will get only 4 to 5 hours. (No Wifi turned on... you don't need it on all the time.) and on most days he gets 15+ hours on it.
Also, I strongly dislike any scroll wheel design.

I totally agree with you too. The sound quality is as good or better than my sisters ipod and the software isn't that bad. I haven't had any troubles but just like my itunes it can run slow sometimes.As long as it fits in my pocket the size is fine. Two of my friends purchased them after they played around with mine. Zune isn't the best but it isn't inferior to ipod. Though a larger hard drive would be nice.

Yeah, I had some problems with the Zune software and had to remove some system files (Some networking files so you can use the Zune's wireless with the router and wirelessly access music that isn't on your zune.)
It was tweaking with the processor (Always taking up 40% at all times)
But other then that, no problems.
You can always replace the hard drive with something bigger.
Currently it looks like 40gb can fit, but the other ones would need a case mod to make it huge liek xbox.

I picked one up and I like it quite a bit. It was actually much smaller than I thought it would be (thanks to the ipod fanboys shouting) and the Halo content it comes with is nifty. The research I've done on the intertron suggests that this is not a video player first, as has been suggested, although the larger screen (than the video ipod) may just have you confused there. In testing many reviewers have found the zune's sound quality to be better than the ipod's - many others found it to be the same.

Also, I quite enjoy the zune pass. I have not purchased very many cd's over the past few years so to catch up on all the music I want to listen to would become quite expensive. Since I bought my Zune on Saturday I've downloaded about 1600 songs I have never owned before. At a dollar a song, that would be quite a venture. These songs cover over 150 albums as well so the purchasing by the album model wouldn't save me much money either.

I think the Zune is optimal for a first time PMP buyer, like myself. I cannot imagine filling an 80 gig ipod without piling a lot of crap I'd never really listen to into it, so I'll leave that to the experts for now.
